Wireless PCI Driver Installation Instructions

Introduction
This document describes the procedure to install the driver for the 2Wire Wireless PCI Adapter
under Microsoft Windows, and to run a wireless configuration program to configure your 2Wire
Wireless PCI Adapter to work with the 2Wire HomePortal or OfficePortal wireless gateway.
Microsoft Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, and XP are supported.

The driver software supplied here is for new installation only. If you have
already set up your 2Wire Wireless PCI Adapter with driver software in the
supplied CD, you do not need to re-install this driver software.

STEP 1 - Driver Installation

Instruction for Windows XP

1. Make sure your 2Wire Wireless PCI Adapter is not connected to your computer.
Download the driver package file to your local hard disk.
2. Double-click the driver package file to extract all driver files. The driver installation files
will be placed in your hard disk in the C:\TWWGPCI_TEMP directory.
3. Insert your 2Wire Wireless PCI Adapter to an available USB port in your computer. The
Windows Found New Hardware Wizard will start. Select the option to install from a
specific location.

Click Next to continue.

4. Select the Include this location in the search checkbox. Specify C:\TWWGPCI_TEMP as
the location of driver.

Click Next to continue.

5. Follow the on-screen

instructions to finish driver
installation.
6. Continue to Step 2 - Wireless
Configuration.

Instruction for Windows 98SE, ME and 2000.

1. Make sure your 2Wire Wireless PCI Adapter is not inserted in your computer. Download
the driver package file to your local hard disk.
2. Double-click the driver package file to extract all driver files. The driver installation files
will be placed in your hard disk in the C:\TWWGPCI_TEMP directory.
3. Insert your 2Wire Wireless PCI Adapter in your computer. The Windows Found New
Hardware Wizard will start.
4. Select the option to search for driver in a specific location. Specify C:\TWWGPCI_TEMP
as the location of driver.
5. Follow on-screen instruction to finish driver installation. You may have to restart your
computer.
6. Continue to Step 2 - Wireless Configuration.

STEP 2 - Wireless Configuration

1. Run the program WirelessCfg.exe from the directory C:\TWWGPCI_TEMP. You can do
so by clicking the Windows Start button and select Run... The Windows Start button is
typically located at the lower left corner of the screen.
Type in C:\TWWGPCI_TEMP\WirelessCfg.exe to launch the program.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure your wireless setting. Enter the serial
number and encryption key of your 2Wire HomePortal or OfficePortal wireless gateway.
They are printed on the bottom of your 2Wire wireless gateway.
