Student corpora analyzing language learners' work can provide useful insights into common issues and inform curriculum. The first major student corpus was the International Corpus of Learner English (ICLE), which contains essays written by advanced English language learners representing 16 first language backgrounds. This study examines conjunctive verb modifiers in the Turkish subcorpus of ICLE and compares it to the native English essay corpus LOCNESS to analyze differences.
