Discipleship of 3 (D3)

Training For Trainees (T4T)

Program
(A Modified G12 Government of 12 and T4T Training For Trainers)

1
A LIVING & GROWING CHURCH HAS A SYSTEM OF
GROWTH & MULTIPLICATION… CHURCH WHO HAVE
NONE EITHER DIE OR DESTROY ITSELF

THE LADDER OF SUCCESS

1. TO WIN - Winning souls for Jesus by Evangelism.

Proverbs 11:30
v30The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
and whoever captures souls is wise.

2. TO CONSOLIDATE – Preserving the souls by assigning them into a small group where
they can grow and practice the fellowship and “one another” disciplines of being a disciple of
Jesus. Through small groups, disciples will be accountable to practice the spiritual disciplines, to
love other disciples, and to fulfill the Great Commission as a group and not a lone ranger, doing
“personal” evangelism. Here fulfilling Great Commission is by a group of individuals bonding
in the power of Spirit.

Acts 2:
v42And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of
bread and the prayers. v43And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were
being done through the apostles. v44And all who believed were together and had all things in
common. v45And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the
proceeds to all, as any had need. v46And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking
bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, v47praising God
and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who
were being saved.

3. TO TRAIN - A church must be the center for training every disciple of Jesus, not just the
Preaching or Ministerial schools. A member of a church, must be like or the imitation of the

2
minister or pastor of the congregation he belongs to, and not the imitation of the “teacher” of the
Preaching or Ministerial Schools. It requires a serious responsibility and accountability of the
Minister/Pastor.

Luke 6:40 -
v40A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully
trained will be like his teacher.

4. TO SEND – Being a center of Training the Disciples, the church is the one who will send
the disciples as they train them to be like Jesus. This is demonstrated first in the life and ministry
of Jesus, but now in the life and example of the Minister/Pastor.

Matthew 28:18-20
v18And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on
earth has been given to me. v19Go therefore and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them inc the name of the Father and of the Son and
of the Holy Spirit, v20teaching them to observe all that I have
commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the
age."

Romans 10:14-15
v14But how are they to call on him in whom they have not believed?
And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?e
And how are they to hear without someone preaching? v15And how
are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How
beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"

DISCIPLESHIP OF THREE (D3)
Is a simple system of fulfilling the mandate of the Lord Jesus of “making disciples.” The Great
Commission charged every member to “make disciples, ” not just to be members of a church, nor
to be a mere disciples, but as Jesus clearly stated the disciples must “make disciples” ! So,
every honest and faithful disciple will always be asking himself, and by the leading of Spirit
he/she will answer the questions truthfully.

“am I a disciple?”
“who is discipling me?”
“am I making disciples?”
“who are my disciples?”

So, I think, for many years many members of the church are not so clear in answering these
questions. Through a simple and natural system of discipleship like this Discipleship of 3 (D3),
every member will be helped and trained by each other to be a disciple, be disciple by fellow
disciple, and with them make disciples of others too.

But, we need to start with someone. And that someone should be the Minister / (other church use
the word Pastor) and also for women’s group, the Minister’s/ Pastor’s wife.

For the sake of simplicity and clarity of the goal of this program, we combined this system with
another discipleship system called, Training for Trainers (T4T). This system use the word
“Trainers” as the one doing the discipling, therefore the disciple; and “Trainees” for the one
being discipled by a discipler. This system emphasizes the simple way of transferring your
knowledge and skill of being a Discipler/Trainer/Mentor to the church members who are willing
to be Disciples/Trainees/Apprentices.

We can illustrate the combine system through this chart:

4
Terms:
Trainer - the one who make disciple. He is the discipler or the mentor.
Trainee – the one who is being discipled. He is the disciple, apprentice, or mentee.

THE DISCIPLESHIP JOURNEY

STAGE 1 – THE TRAINEE STAGE: Let everyone start to be a Trainee. Even
the Minister (as Trainer/Mentor), and other leaders will start as Trainee>Trainer (or Training to
be a Trainer). This will avoid questioning someone if he or she is worthy to be a Trainer/
Mentor. In this stage, accept everyone in their position, because everyone is a trainee.

To an already stablished church. It requires to divide the whole membership into groups of four
members. Be sure everyone will be a part of the group with four members. If it is possible the
members should have some freedom in the way they choose their own members of their group.
Inform them in advance , that they will be their small groups, and that they will take care of each
other, and possible for them to meet once a week.

This stage has Four (4 ) STEPS:

STEP #1 - BE A TRAINEE / MENTEE
STEP #2 - BE A PART OF SMALL GROUP (CARE OR CELL GROUP)
STEP #3 - SOLIDIFY YOUR SMALL GROUP
STEP #4 - MULTIPLY YOUR SMALL GROUP

STEP #2 - BE A PART OF SMALL GROUP
(A Group of Four Members)

A small group is a group of four members, one will serve as a leader or trainer with three
trainees. On this stage (#1), every member is a trainee, even the Trainer/Leader of the group is
considered as Trainee Trainer, or He or She is Training to be a Trainer. through small group
everyone will undergo training, and experience spiritual growth through the fellowship in Spirit
and living out the Truth in Love as they study and feast on the Word of God.

In Small Group they will practice the ;
