Everyone has had a childhood; some had memorable years,
awkward years and weird stages. Childhood is the world of miracle, problems and worries seem to be insignificant in this stage. Nothing seems to matter, only fun and great time. Every single one of us has a wonderful story about our childhood. I have many great memories of my childhood, but one incident that I could not forget for the rest of my life.
As I remember, it was a beautiful hot and shinning summer day,
when all schools were over and people were busy traveling. This summer my parents and our family friends send us to my uncle’s house for vacation who lived in Cox’s bazar. Day before the trip, my brother and me were exited packing our clothes to go. We had to go to Cox’s bazar by bus. We left home two hours before the bus time just because we needed to wait for my cousins and other kids to arrive. After a while my cousins came and we started our journey to Cox’s bazaar. As the bus was moving I enjoyed the beautiful outside scenery. After a few hours trip we finally reached Cox’s bazar. After going to my uncle’s house which was near to beach, everybody was tired and went to bed early without taking our dinner.
On the next day, when I woke up at 5.30 am in the morning, I saw
everyone rushed to the kitchen table for breakfast because we didn’t took our dinner last night. After breakfast my uncle walked all of us to the beach to see the sunrise. Uncle forced all of us to go to jogging. It was tiring but all of that was worthy. After I saw the beautiful sunrise, visuals all around filled me with peace and serenity, making it all worth it and a great way to start my day. When I saw the sunrise, I felt so peaceful and free, because there were no homework to do and I didn’t have to hear my mom nagging about cleaning my room. Everything was perfect that time, suddenly my cousin blast the water into my face. At first I was mad and wanted to slap him but when I saw everyone enjoy playing in the water, I didn’t have any second thought but jumping into the water and playing with them. One of cousins was scared that our uncle would scold us because before he left for the house he told us not to play with water. But we ended up swimming and playing in the water. My little cousins and other kids were busy building castles and searching for cute shells. After an hour playing with water, we decided to go back home. When we went home, my uncle was standing in front of the door holding towels and smiling. He expected that we would get wet.
After changing we all went to the kitchen for lunch. Everyone
seemed to be very hungry. After lunch we went to living room and played many types of games. At evening our uncle took us to the beautiful restaurant near to the beach. As I walked along the beach I saw the sun slowly going down. At first the ocean looked orange and red. Then, it turned slowly to pink, to purple and finally getting dark. As I looked at the sky, I saw thousands of stars and I heard waves hitting the seashores, and I felt the cold water swirl around my feet. We got home pretty late and we didn’t go to sleep. We were playing games again until dawn.
I had a wonderful summer with my childhood friends and my
uncle. I will never forget the smell of cold air from beach and the sound of waves that hit the seashore. That was one place that I could stay forever. I always think about the part of my great memories of my childhood. Now we all are separate in different parts of the world but there is something that bonds us together. This memorable childhood incident is one of the most important parts of my life. I will always cherish these memories for the rest of my life.
