5. Install powershatt clutch vatve into its bore as shown.


6. Use powershaft clulch va ve I nk (A) to compress springs,
and rlrstall pin (B). -q
NOTE: On tractors with no powerchaft, install the special
pin in place of the powerchaft clulch vatve ahgning
the hole thrcugh the pn with the hole in the adapter
countehore on the back side ol the clutch valve
housing. Drive the spring pin through the valve
housing and specialpin sa the spnng pin is llush with
tne bottom al the operating adapter coumerDore.

bushing using 27511 (1.11/16 in.) pilot, 27510 (1-3l4 in.)
d sk, and 27488 handle. Drive new bushing 8.70 mm (0.343
n.) below end of shaft with orl groove open ends iacing away
from driver

7. nspect PTO brake piston for wear and damage. lJ brake


pad s glazed or badly worn, the pislon musl be replaced.

The clutch is designed so that if facing wear should occur,


the transmissron clllch evers 'ei11 bottom on theclutch cover
before the facing is complet€ly gone. Noticeable slippage

relatronship and may resu t in extensive cluich damage.

1. Separate clutch housing irom engine as instructed in


Section 15.

2. Insert wedge under each oFerating levers (A) to hold pack


togelher dunng remova . Thls prevenis the fronl disk lrom
falling olf lhe hub.

3. Remove the sx clutch coveclo-llywheel cap screws (B)


and remove the clutch pack.
