Grassfield Elementary | 5th grade | September 2018-June 2019
I am currently teaching all subjects in 5th grade as the main classroom teacher. I have 26
students, six IEPs, and one 504.
Baker-Butler Elementary School | 2nd grade | late March 2018-June 2018
I worked as a long-term substitute in second-grade from March to the end of the school year.

Teaching Internship.
Jackson-Via Elementary School | Kelsie Davis | 3rd grade | January 2017-May 2017
Twice a week, I attended Ms. Davis’s third grade classroom in Charlottesville City
Public Schools, where I was able to observe and participate in a language arts block following
the Daily 5 model, as well as Social Studies and Science. I wrote six lesson plans to be
implemented over the semester, two of which were recorded and submitted to my university
supervisor for observation.
Broadus Wood Elementary School | Irene Krone | 1st grade | September 2016-December

I assisted Mrs. Krone twice a week in her first-grade classroom in Albemarle County Public
Schools. Primarily this involved participating in morning meeting and math block as well as
behavior management and implementing my own lesson plans periodically.
Greer Elementary Tutor | Tisha Hayes | January 2016-May 2016
Through my Curry 3881 field experience course, I visited one 4th grade student at Greer
Elementary in Albemarle County Public Schools weekly to work on comprehension skills.

During my Curry 3881 field experience course in the fall, I visited one 3rd grade student at
Venable Elementary in Charlottesville City Public Schools weekly to assist the student with
increasing their fluency and improving their prosody.

During my senior year at UVa, I picked up a part time job at a local church working with
children ages two to four. I was the primary teacher in my Sunday school class.
YWCA of South Hampton Roads: Child Development Specialist I | August 2014 to July
2015
I worked at the YWCA for a year until I had to leave for college. While I was there I worked
with children mostly ages 2 through 6. Some of my responsibilities included making and
implementing lesson plans, as the center I worked at was a licensed program with a curriculum.
While I worked there I had DHO training, and became CPR and first aid certified.
Butts Road Elementary | Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow (Teacher Cadet) | September
2012-June 2013 | 3rd grade
I took Teacher Cadet my senior year of high school. I spent the year with a class of 25 third
graders and my cooperating teacher, Mrs. Soniak. I assisted with everyday classroom routines,
preparing materials, tutoring, and grading papers.
