Mejia- Escobar fearing death complied with the unknown male. An unknown female then placed a towel over the head of Mejia- Escobar. The unknown female then placed a towel inside the mouth of Meja- Escobar to keep him from screaming for help. Mejia- Escobar was ordered to provide financial information along with his wallet and credit cards. The unknown male demand for Mejia- Escobar to give him his cell phone, wallet and the passwords and pins for his credit cards. The unknown male and female then took Meja- Escobar back down stairs. The ‘male then told Mejia- Escobar that he was going to take him the apple store and use all his credit cards to buy merchandise. Mejia- Escobar stated that as they approached the front door of the Casino he managed to pull away from the grasp of the female and ran for help. Mejia- Escobar began to yell for help and security responded, Mejia- Escobar described the firearm as a revolver. |, Detective Sedano, was assigned the investigation and was dispatched to Boulder Station Casino. Upon my arrival | met with LVMPD Officers and obtained a preliminary briefing. | then met with Boulder Station Security, who then took me to watch the video surveillance of the incident. In the video | observed Mejia- Escobar arrive the hotel and walk to the elevator lobby where he meets with a white male adult, described in his late 40's to early 50's, 6-1 to 6-3, approximately 280-300 pounds, wearing a baseball cap, black Under Armour shirt and dark colored shorts. The two enter the elevator land are taken to the third floor, The two are seen walking in hall and entering into room 313, after Mejia- Escobar stood briefly in the hallway. A few minutes later Mejia- Escobar in seen emerge from the room being held and escorted by the female while the unknown male followed closely behind. The unknown male in seen holding his right front pocket as if he is holding a firearm, The female holds on to the male and escorts him to the elevator, all three enter the elevator. Mejia- Escobar is clearly in fear the unknown male can be seen motioning as if he has a firearm and approaches Mejia- Escobar in an intimidating manner. All three exit the elevator and the female immediately begins to hold and escort Mejia- Escobar through the casino floor. The video clearly shows that as they approached the main front doors, Mejia- Escobar breaks away from the grasp of the female and begins to run for help. Mejia- Escobar finds a security officer Terrell Miller and begins to yell that the unknown male has a gun, Mejia- Escobar and security officer Terrell Miller give chase until the unknown male pulls out his firearm and aims it at both individuals ordering then to stop or he would shot, to facilitate his and the females escape. The female runs through the parking lot eastbound towards Lamb Boulevard. The unknown male also runs eastbound towards Lamb Boulevard. Boulder Station Security staff gave chase and video surveillance began tracking the individuals the unknown male approaches a vehicle on RidgeDale Ave, with his firearm in his hand and attempts to take the vehicle by carjacking it from their owner. The driver of the vehicle flees prior to the unknown male being allowed to enter the vehicle, The unknown male runs into the residential area on Lawndale Street, the unknown male approaches Henry Mauricio Montes who is outside of his residence about to leave to pick up his children from school. The unknown male offers Montes $100 to drive him to the area of Tropicana Ave and Boulder Highway to the Det. C. The $100 bill that the unknown male provided Henry Mauricio Montes was recovered as evidence. Henry Mauricio Montes provided a written voluntary statement of what took place. Officers made contact with a second witness, Wilson Steven (DOB IEEE who stated he was getting out of his friends vehicle at Boulder Station Valet and heard someone yell "He has a gun." Steven then observed a blonde female running with a white male wearing shorts, black shirt and a hat with a Under armor logo on it. Both the female and male ran across. the parking lot towards Lamb Bivd. The male dropped his hat on Lamb Blvd and went east bound on Ridgedale with a gun iin his hand. Steven observed them enter into a Silver Infinity G35 and headed towards Vegas Valley Dr. Detectives were provided with photographs taken from the digital video surveillance of Boulder Station Casino. Detectives assigned to SEAC Proactive Squad located the unknown female walking on Boulder Highway towards the Town and Country Suites. Smith agreed to cooperate with the investigation. Smith took Detectives back to Boulder Station and provided the location of the vehicle being driven by the male known to her as “Guy”. The vehicle was identified asa white KIA Ri, four door sedan, bearing Cafornia license pate of CAR wih a VINE KNADM4A39H6027872. The Vehicle was cold pated with afictiousleenee pate, The vehicle was used by the suspects to get to Boulder Station to commit their crime. The vehicle belongs to Avis -Budget car rentals the lease of this vehicle has not been determined Information vas developed as to possible whereabouts of he outstanding unknown male Surveillance wos established onthe possible residence of where the suspect ves Detectives assigned to SEAC Proactive Squad established surveillance of the residence and observed a male subject ‘matching the description of the armed robbery suspect exit the residence and enter into a Gold in color Lincoln Navigator. Detectives conducted a vehicle stop and located a revolver inside the vehicle, the male was identified Gregory Ganci, 008 IES 0c HII Garciacmite to Detective Halasi hat ne was in possession of five shooter referring to the revolver. Ganci was taken into custody and transported to SEAC to be interviewed. Ganci was interviewed at SEAC by Det. Det. C.
