estudiante de Odontología como al profesional, un libro esencial pero lo más completo posible para una
óptima ejecución de las intervenciones de cirugía oral. En efecto, estas representan una parte importante en
la práctica odontológica cotidiana, y para el desempeño apropiado de las técnicas quirúrgicas son necesarios
no sólo un adecuado conocimiento de las técnicas quirúrgicas en forma individual, sino también una síntesis
entre conocimientos de anatomía topográfica distrital, etiopatogénesis de las patologías quirúrgicas más
comunes, la determinación de un diagnóstico adecuado y un plan de tratamiento apropiado. La estructura
original del libro, conservada también en esta segunda edición, es concebida para poder suministrar una
doble clave de lectura. La primera es la de un libro en el que son suministradas todas las informaciones
clínico-teóricas desde el punto de vista etiopatogénico, clasificatorio, diagnóstico y pronóstico, elementos
que constituyen una base imprescindible para un adecuado enfoque de las patologías.
