Preface

Human beings are social beings, Humans are biologically and psychologically equipped to live in
group , in society, society not only fulfills their physical needs but also helps in development
course of humans mind; for this purpose they need to communicate with each other and
language is concerned as the best means of communication verbally or as written.

Words allow us to communicate and it impact daily lives of language members, it helps to
express our feelings, desires and quires to the world, and proper words formation make the
language capable to communicate properly and fulfill the needs, wants and desires of its
speakers.

English derives a huge number of words on regular basis from other languages and English
speakers produce hundreds and thousands of words as humans mind are programmed to
produce words; learning language especially English as an international language and formation
of words in this language and its rule and regulation for formation of words is very important as
English consists of infinite and countless words.

That is why I have chosen this topic based on guidance of my teacher and to have a clear idea
that how words being formed in English and what are the prevalent rules and regulations.

An attempt has been made through this monograph to explain the various concepts of English
words formation, I hope this monograph serves as a good resource for English literature
students and all those who desire to learn English language.
