Freedom of information
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI) gives you the right of access to recorded
information held by us. The act includes all public authorities from large government
departments to small primary schools.

You can also make a Freedom of Information request by email or post.

Information exempt from a Freedom of Information


request
There are some types of information that we do not have to provide under the Freedom of
Information Act.

For example

 personal information
 commercially sensitive information
 information that we do not hold

The Freedom of Information Act only covers recorded information. There is no obligation for
us to create new information in response to a request. We will not engage in speculation and
opinion unless this is already recorded.
