Details • The Nevsky express is a high- speed train popular with government officials and business executives. • On Friday evening it was carrying about 681 passengers, including a crew of 20. • There were no U.S. citizens on board. • The bombing took place near the small town of Bologye about 250 miles northwest of Moscow. • The blast derailed the last three cars of the 14 car train, which was traveling at about 125 mph.

Details • Russia has opened a criminal case under the terrorism law. • Investigators are looking into a group of people seen in the vicinity shortly before the bombing. • Evidence was found at the scene and sketches of subjects are being circulated. • The Nevsky Express was bombed in August of 2007, injuring about 60 people. • Chechen militants were believed to be responsible for that attack.
