ABSTRACT
Menstrual hygiene behavior was a set of behaviors that was done to kept personal hygiene while
menstruating period. at the time of menstruation, the bacteria would be easier entered uterus vessels so
uterus vessels susceptible infected. This research was aimed to knew the factors related to the behavior
of menstrual hygiene of students at Junior High School Number 1 Inderalaya.This research used quantitative
design with descriptive analytic method and cross sectional approach. Total samples of 149 students were
chosen by simple random sampling technique. Data analysis used by the univariate analysis, bivariat analysis
used chi square and multivariate analysis used a multiple logistic regression test predictions model. Bivariat
analysis results showed that there was a connection between knowledge (p = 0.000) and fellow support (p =
0.001) and menstrual hygiene behavior of students, but there was no connection between age (p = 0,513),
attitude (p = 0.092), parents support (p = 0,124) and utilization of information resources (p = 0,078) with
menstrual hygiene behavior. The results of the multivariate analysis showed that variable had the most
significance powerful connection with menstrual hygiene behaviour of students at Junior High School Number 1
Inderalaya was the knowledge (PR =6.219:95% CI = 2,757-14,026). It was concluded that the most influential
menstrual hygiene behaviour factor was the knowledge variable. Junior High School Number 1 Inderalaya
should be more optimize to do counselling about reproductive health, provide and facilitate information to carry
out intercultural counseling students about the harms of the incorrect menstrual hygiene behavior.
