Resident Profile Debra McCrorey
Having purchased a home in 2001 in Sun City Grand and having
really enjoyed that lifestyle, I just knew that I wanted my next
home purchase to be in the same type of community. So, in 2007
I bought my home here in Sun City Festival. Being a part of this
community has been fun and full of opportunities from the very
beginning. I was in a three day photo shoot for pictures and com-
mercials all done in the Sage Center swimming pool back in 2008.
The most obvious picture is currently on an advertising billboard
just as you drive west on Sun Valley Parkway near the corner of Sun
Valley Parkway and Canyon Springs Boulevard. Other pictures and
commercials from the shoot have and are being used as well.
In the past eleven years, I’ve been involved in a variety of clubs and
activities such as serving as vice-president of the Quilting Bees, vol-
unteering for eleven years as a Neighborhood Watch Captain and
more recently a Citizens on Patrol volunteer with the Buckeye Police.
I enjoy travel especially experiencing the outdoors, long road trips, cruises and have traveled in Europe. A
lifetime of dance, from age four through my 20’s I did a lot of tap dancing. Then my interest shifted to ball-
room dancing when I was in my 30’s of which I continue to do now. I’m the owner of An Octave Higher, LLC
as a violinist (44 years of experience) playing for a variety of services, events and occasions and playing in
worship ministry teams. I’m looking forward to each new phase in the growth here in Sun City Festival and
my hope is that every resident here finds the joy I have had as well.
This is a wonderful Community I have met many great people from all different walks of life I love hearing
their stories and how they got here I am enjoying my retirement to the fullest and I love living here.
