Proposed System: ATTENDANCE MONITORING SYSTEM FOR SITE

Brief Description:

The Attendance Monitoring System is for SITE a

system that can be used by the whole SITE department for their

attendance during events or special occasions.

Our proposed system can help our Faculty, Students, and our

Officers in checking the attendance it will replace the manual

process of attendance checking to an automated attendance

checking.

Our System can help us the users to have a reliable source of

data.

1
Introduction

We are asked to make an output about a simple system on our own.

My team approved to create an Attendance Monitoring System.

Technology can be a powerful tool for transforming learning. It

can help affirm and advance relationships between educators and

students, it can also reinvent our approaches to learning and

collaboration, also it can reduce Human error and can help

humans to reduce effort in creating something.

Human–computer interaction (commonly referred to as HCI)

researches the design and use of computer technology, focused on

the interfaces between people (users) and computers. Researchers

in the field of HCI both observe the ways in which humans

interact with computers and design technologies that let humans

interact with computers in novel ways.

2
Statement of the Problem

 Does our system can be reliable to its users?

 Can the system help the users in checking their

attendance?

 Does our system made our checking of attendance faster

and easier

 is the System user friendly?

 Does our system worked efficiently?

 Accessibility

3
Objective of the Proposed System

 We did this system to monitor the attendance.

 To lessen the time for timing in and timing out.

 To analyze attendance data.

 To have a record of the attendance in the database.

 To replace the manual attendance checking.

 For faster attendance checking.

 For easy storing of attendance data.

 To have a more reliable data.

4
Significance to its users

 With our system attendance monitoring will be faster

 With our system attendance monitoring will more reliable

 The SITE attendance monitoring can be easier

 Improve visibility to track and manage SITE student

attendance

 Faster processing of attendance can be easily recorded

 Security of the student attendance record

To the students – this system can help students save time in

signing in the attendance whenever there are gathering or events
in the school or outside the school.

To the faculty – the faculty members can see if the students is

present during that time because sometimes the attendance during
events can be our grades.

To the attendance checker – the attendance checker can easily

check the attendance compared to manual checking it requires
more time and energy to do the task.

The SITE Attendance monitoring system can easily be manipulated

by the users because of its simple interface and its simple
processes.

5
Project Model

Waterfall Model
The waterfall model is a sequential (non-iterative) design process,
used in software development processes, in which progress is seen as
flowing steadily downwards (like a waterfall) through the phases of
conception, initiation, analysis, design, construction,
testing, production/implementation and maintenance.

8
Conceptual Framework

Planning Phase
First we managed to create about a Hotel reservation system
then a gate pass monitoring system but both of this system
turned out to be complicated. Now we manage to conceptualize to
create an Attendance Monitoring System for SITE.

Designing Phase
Our designer Dlanorson Patay managed to design our system
to have simple interface so that the users can manipulate our
system easily. The colors of our system represents their
functions.

Development Phase
In this phase our programmer Donald Uanang visualized our
system, He created the working process of the system.

Deployment Phase
In this phase the users from our department will test the
system if the system is effective during a certain event.

Maintenance Phase
If there are issues which come up in the user environment
this is the phase will fix those issues and also to enhance our
system.

7
System Framework

The Framework we used is Visual Basic because it’s easier for

our programmer to use and understand visual basic. And the
processes in visual basic is simpler than other languages

Human Management Plan

List of possible conflicts

-When a group member/s is absent.
-When the said project is unfinished.
-When a member did not do their tasks.
-When a group member/s is late.

List of Concrete Solution

-When a group member/s is absent, we need to assign another
person to do the task
-When the said project is unfinished, we need to find a way to
accomplish the said task
-When a member didn’t do their task, we need to do something to
complete something
-when a group member/s is late/absent he/she needs to pay 30PHP

14
Memorandum of Agreement

-For every time someone in the group is late, the late member/s
Shall pay 30PHP
-For every time someone is absent, he/she must pay 30PHP but if
the reason of absence is valid he/she will no longer pay the
amount
-After 3-4 invalid absences the said member will automatically
be removed from the group.
