GIVEN SCENARIO : Vehicle travels simultaneously at the speed of 60 kph from Davao
City Hall, San Pedro St. at exactly 12 noon to different destinations : BUTUAN CITY,
KORONADAL CITY, GENSAN CITY, CAGAYAN CITY, COTABATO CITY.
The fleet (vehicles) are equipped with RFID scanners. Radio-frequency identification uses
electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and track tags attached to objects. The tags
contain electronically-stored information. Passive tags collect energy from a nearby RFID
reader's interrogating radio waves. The RFID tags are placed in landmarks (refer to the table in
PART IV). The scanners will detect the tags and process the information in it. After processing
the information, it will be sent to the microcontroller which will appropriate the data to the GSM
module. The GSM module will send an SMS containing the location of the tracked landmark and
the exact time the RFID tags detected.
