Greetings!

The University of Mindanao – College of Engineering believes in the educational philosophy that has
prevailed in most developed countries, that is, the continued interaction between the educational sector
and the industry at every level. Among our measurable initiatives to promote our association with the
industry, foremost of which is the formulation of the engineering curricula designed to integrate practical
immersions of our students in the work place.

Specifically, the Mechanical Engineering Program greatly considers synergistic collaboration with industries
to improve students’ grasp of real life industrial environments through on-site exposure to engineering
problems and extensive contact with professionals. Currently, the college is identifying most probable
industries that will help our students establish skill that is integrated across the curriculum, which serves to
underscore the relationships between theory and practice.

Anent to this, I would like to ask if Julius J. Rosalia, 5th year ME student be allowed to undergo and
complete her 240-hour - on-the-job-training in your division. It is understood that whatever services she
renders is on an apprenticeship basis and shall not be subject for regular compensation.

Thank you very much in anticipation of your utmost consideration.

Respectfully yours,

CRESENCIO P. GENOBIAGON JR.
