LIST OF QUESTIONS

1. Conduct a suitable test to predetermine the regulation of three phase A.C

generator by synchronous impedance and amp-turns methods for leading
and lagging P.F. Also draw the relevant phasor diagram.
2. Predetermine the voltage regulation of AC generator by potier reactance
and ASA method.
3. Determine the negative sequence and zero sequence reactance of an AC
generator by conducting suitable experiment.
4. Determine the direct and quadrature axis reactance and predetermine the
voltage regulation of given three phase salient pole synchronous
generator.
5. Conduct a suitable experiment, to develop equivalent circuit of a 1Ø AC
machines which requires an aid for starting.
6. Conduct the suitable experiment, to observe the effect of change in
armature current and P.F with respect to change in excitation of a
synchronous motor.
7. Conduct suitable experiment on 3Ø slip ring induction motor at
50%,75%, 100% and 120% of loading. Draw its following performance
characteristics:
(a) Output Vs efficiency
(b) Output Vs load current
(c) output power Vs speed.
8. Conduct a suitable experiment, to develop equivalent circuit of three
phase Rotating transformer.
9. Demonstrate the performance of 1Ø induction motor by conducting a
suitable test on it and obtain the efficiency at ¼, ½,3/4th and full load
condition.
 10.Conduct the suitable experiment on 3Ø rotating transformer to draw the
performance characteristics at ¼ , ½ and ¾ of the full load.
