vibrant institution which was dormant due to local conditions

• Trained around 300 National & International trainers in use of the participatory training
techniques including use of multimedia, as a part of ILO/MATCOM team which prepared them
to effectively conduct & improve the quality of co-operative training.
• Presented seminars on varied topics at prestigious Training and Management Institutions like,
LBS National Academy of Administration (Financing Coops in India; Learning Loopholes; Managing
Rural Coops, Displacement of Fertilizer Cooperatives..),Institute of Rural Management, Anand (Micro
Credit Amid Poverty), Members of Parliament (Vamnicom’s Perspective), Members of Legislative
Assembly-Sikkim(Cooperative Development and Governance), Cooperative Department
Punjab(Preparing Coop. Governance Code), etc.

• Implemented number of innovative methods of development as Principal of a training institute at
Dehradun, in the area of Human Resource Development, Networking with Co-operatives,
NGOs &Government Agencies, diversification in training and development activities,
infrastructure development, revenue generation etc. resulting into turnaround of a virtual
dormant co-operative training institute into a vibrant institute of excellence.
• Conceptualized co-operative training & education perspective in Punjab as member of training
and education committee, which enabled them to restructure the programmes for over 5000
employees & twenty thousand members of co-operatives.
• Coordinated over 500 training programmes in the area of curriculum development, training
methodology, finance, micro credit, governance, marketing, communication, cost & management
accounting, auditing and related sectors of co-operatives
• Written & published Articles, Papers & Case studies in the area of Training, Gender Integration,
Finance & Marketing, and Co-operatives etc.
• Prepared a directory of power point presentations on 210 topics in the area of Finance,
Marketing, Cooperative Governance, Cost-Management, Leadership, Cooperation, Training etc.

Initiatives Taken
• Promoted Alumni association of PGDBA students of VAMNICOM. Organising Alumni Meet
every year. Maintaining regular communication with about 450 Alumni members / PGDBA
students.
• Worked for curriculum revision of PGDM-Agribusiness, prepared new model of placements,
initiated knowledge and skill development activities for students, and organized National
Debating & Symposium competition.
• Initiated a Global portal www.hrd.coop with the objective to network all the HRD Cooperative
Institutions in the World so as to enable them to share information about their training
programmes, training materials, research, faculty, news & events etc
• Worked for the promotion of voluntary blood Donation. Organised voluntary blood donation
camps at the institute and other places. As a regular blood donor, donated blood 70 times.
Honoured at national level.
• Undertaken tree plantation move as Principal of ICM, Dehradun in collaboration with forest
department to promote social forestry & waste land development.
• As Principal of Institute of Co-operative Management, initiated to provide training to the about
450 rural poor women in formation & management of Dairy Co-operatives.
• Introduced action research in ICM, Dehradun by motivating the faculty of the institute to adopt
villages in Uttaranchal. Under the programme, promoted youth of the area to form co-operatives
and evaluated other performance.
• Being a sportsman, represented at University/ State levels in cricket. Organised sports events at
various levels.
