CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

1.1 Background

Cimanggis – Cibitung Toll Road Construction Project Section 2 in


MM2100 consists of several components of work. The Construction is
located in Cibitung from STA. 49+015 – STA. 50+373 with the length
1,358 km.

The job items of Construction in section 2 MM2100 are bored pile,


footing, abutment, pillar, pierhead, and girder. Based on time
schedule, Construction in section 2 started on 29th September 2015
and will be completed on 2019.

1.2 Purpose of the Cimanggis - Cibitung Construction

a. To reduce congestion on Jagorawi Toll Road and Jakarta –


Cikampek Toll Road.
b. To facilitate access to Cibitung,Cikarang and surroundings area
from Cimanggis without having to go through Jakarta - Cikampek
Toll Road

The first week

• In the first week, two drill points have been completed, namely pier 14A
and pier 15A, each of which has 14 borepile points, which after drilling is
complete, borepile casting is carried out.

• Pile cap excavation works have been completed at pier points 14B and
15B.

• The pilecap reinforcement work has been completed at the abutment point
and pier points 1A and 1B and formwork has been paired.

• Pier casting works have been completed on point pier 13A and pier 13B.

Second week

• In the second week at point pier 14A and pier 15A pilecap excavation work
has been completed and continued with lean concrete work and borepile
breaking.

• The pilecap reinforcement work has been completed at pier points 14B and
15B and formwork has been paired.

• At the abutment point, pier 1A and pier 1B have been completed with the
work of casting pile cap and releasing formwork.

• At the point of pier 13A and pier 13B, formwork release work has been
completed.

The third week

• Reinforcement work and pile cap casting have been completed at pier 14A
and pier 15A.

• Borepile drilling and casting works have been completed at pier points 16A
and 16B.

• The casting work and the release of formwork on the pilecap have been
completed on the pier 14B and pier 15B points.

• Pier reinforcement work and formwork installation have been completed at


pier 1A and pier 1B

The fourth week

• Formwork release work and pier reinforcement work have been completed
at pier 14A and pier 15A.
• The pile cap and lean concrete excavation work has been completed at pier
point 16A and pier 16B.

• The reinforcement work and formwork installation have been completed at


pier 14B and pier 15B.

• Pier casting work and formwork release have been completed at pier 1A
and pier 1B.

From the table above, It appears that there has been a delay in the
execution of the work. The main thing that causes delays is because the
contractor cannot realize the progress achievement planned because there is
no or not yet free land for construction needs that is in accordance with the
planned implementation to be carried out.

 Work Achievement In August 2018 : 0.362%


 Work Planning for August 2018 : 11.623%

Of the two values above, it shows that the implementation in August was
smaller than planned where there was a progress deviation is 11.261%.

These conditions indicate that the project completion time is likely to be


longer and will also result in additional work costs.

Cumulative Progress
Overall, the progress achived by 31st August 2018 is as follows :

 Work Planning : 92.78%


 Work Realization : 29,073%
 Deviation :63,707%

From the significant amount of deviation above, there should be an


anticipation or breakdown of land acquisition specifically in order to
overcome the conditions above.
C. Documentation of Progress

Boring a hole, using crane with mechanic soilmec bore machine, to make a
pile as a footing and the reinforcement steel will be placed at the hole to
stregthen the pile.

On casting the lean concrete, the soil is dug 10 cm for the work floor.
Furthermore, the process of making work floors is 10 cm thick as a pile cap.
The work floor is made to simplify the implementation of pilecap work.
Pillar/Pier serves as a support for the upper structure and distributes the
weight of the upper structure to the ground. The pier work in Elevated
MM2100 is divided into 3 stages, according to the height.

PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED AND SOLUTIONS

CHAPTER IV
CONCLUSION

Cimanggis – Cibitung Toll Road Project Construction MM2100 in Section


2 from STA. 49+015 – STA. 50+373 , the percentage of work items that can
be achieved on August 2018 is 29,073 %, while the progress planned is
92.78%. So, the percentage of work remaining is 63,707%.

This project is delayed because of some problems; there has been an


accident about the human error, change of structure design, and Internal
major problem. Therefore, PT Waskita Karya needs to take some action to
overcome problems, by complete the utility sterilization process at the
project location quickly, so that every target of this construction project can
be reached on time.
