Women’s Right

Women rights are the legal and official laws specially created for women in all
countries. Many describe women as the eyes of the country when most of the things
involve women either directly or indirectly in the development of each country.
Nowadays, many cases are happening which involve females and these issues are
at an alarming rate. So, women rights are the base to fight for women welfare and
position by valuing dignity, increasing awareness, and justifying equality of women.

Valuing women’s dignity is a crucial role in their life for better development. For
example, sexual abuse involves women after their marriage. Sexual abuse is
another tactic to exert the power and control women. Moreover, males show their
work pressure to women and this leads to unpleasant situation. Most of the women
do not believe they have the right to refuse sex but when they have been raped by
their husband, they are inclined to take responsibility for the abuse, furthering the
feelings of guilt and self-worth. In this case, women rights of organisation will come
out with a few steps of solutions like counselling. Counselling is a better place for the
affected people to share their problems and feelings of what they have been faced.

Besides that, increasing awareness to women is another important tool for women
rights. Women understand that they have the right to live and aware of the resources
available for legal recourse, are provided with referrals for medical treatment and
psychological and emotional support. Women understand and recognize the
importance of health as an essential benefit and human right and to create
awareness about the key factors that affect their health. Knowledge about health is
crucial for women to improve their lives. Women gain information on the prevention,
treatment and management of key health issues, including communicable diseases,
nutrition, sexual and reproductive health, mental health and stress, personal hygiene
and environmental health.

Last but not least, women rights also can be determined by justifying equality of
women. The ability of women to control their own fertility is absolutely fundamental to
women’s empowerment and equality. When a woman can plan her family, she can
plan the rest of her life. Women’s reproductive rights include the right to decide the
number, timing and spacing of her children which is protected and promoted.
Women have freedom to participate more fully and equally in society. When
women’s status is low, family size tends to be large, which makes it more difficult for
families to thrive. Population and development and reproductive health programmes
are more effective when they address the educational opportunities, status and
empowerment of women. When women are empowered, whole families benefit, and
these benefits often have ripple effects to future generations.

In conclusion, women rights are the base to fight for women welfare and position by
valuing dignity, increasing awareness, and justifying equality of women. A critical
aspect of promoting gender equality is the empowerment of women, with a focus on
identifying and redressing power imbalances and giving women more autonomy to
manage their own lives. Women's empowerment is vital to sustainable development
and the realization of human rights for all.
