 METHODOLOGY OF WORKS

N° DESCRIPTION

Introduction:
The purpose of this method statement is to provide description of procedure and method for the construction
0 and installation of shoring works when working in excavation for the raft F7 in Pipe rack 027.
Also included are the necessary procdure to ensure health and safety of emplooyees.

Preliminary works :
 Cleaning of work area.
1  Preparation of safe areas for work: barricade the area, proper signage, access platform.
 Provide all necessary material according to drawing.

Works description :

- Implantation of the raft by the survey

- Start the mechanical excavation.
- Install shoring at side once one meter depth is reached

- Push the shoring down as the excavation become deeper.
- Once the desired depth (3 meter) is attained fix the shoring to avoid collapse.
- Proceed with construction when the side slope has been stabilized.
- After completion of work, slowly remove the shoring and proceed with backfilling.

Injury Wearing of PPE (gloves, glasses, boots, helmet)

Hearing damage Earplugs or headphones sound absorbing (when using noisy

equipment)

Before starting the shoring work ensure materials are placed safely
Fall of person/material around excavation area
Avoid Walking on the ledge of excavation pit when necessary

Collapse of side walls Provide shoring for depth of every 1 meter
