ABSTRACT
Integration models of cattle and rice farming are the form of optimalization and farming
diversification that can be expected help to realization an integrated and sustainable
agricultural systems. Based on that, is effort that the integration can be a solution to
improve rice production and increase population of cattle in Bandung Districtk, therefore
we need to analyzed before applied in the field. Data were analyzed by MCE analysis,
GIS, finansial and SWOT. The results from analysis is suitability of land for beef cattle
show generally be developed extensively. Total area of land suitability for beef cattle is
36,925.90 ha. Through the utilization of paddy allocation integration with beef cattle can
accommodate up to 66,758.09 ST (95 368) tail. Based on the calculation of the aggregate
income of farmers in implementation of integration can pressing used of NPK and urea
with a total profit up to Rp 1,100,579,895,856.82 The direction of development is
obtained through SWOT analysis and identification of internal factors showed that
strength factor (biophysical land and paddy) more great influence than the weakness
factor in the development of the integration. While external identification results indicate
opportunity factors (demand for beef and rice products healthy) most influence than the
threat of land conversion. To increasing synergy between related local government offices
(Disnakan, Distanbunhut and BKP3) is a strategic should be recommended of integration
policy by maximizing the function of farmer groups / livestock.

PENDAHULUAN
Latar Belakang
Pembangunan pertanian yang efisien menempatkan sumberdaya alam sebagai satu
kesatuan utuh yang terintegrasi (terpadu dan saling menunjang). Mewujudkan
pembangunan yang berkelanjutan dengan memperhatikan keseimbangan lingkungan
merupakan salah satu dari misi penataan ruang di Kabupaten Bandung. Berdasarkan hal
tersebut, perlu yang tepat untuk pengembangan pertanian di Kabupaten Bandung.
Kabupaten Bandung berada pada 6049’ – 7018’ Lintang Selatan dan di antara

kecamatan, 267 desa dan 9 kelurahan. Mayoritas matapencaharian penduduknya adalah

bertani dan beternak sebagai usaha sampingan. Pengembangan sapi potong di areal
persawahan berpeluang besar, karena di kawasan inilah sumber pakan hijauan dari limbah
jerami padi tersedia cukup berlimpah. Daya dukung hijauan merupakan peubah langsung
yang mempengaruhi peningkatan populasi dan keragaan ternak.
