Abstract This paper deal with incineration of the oil palm empty fruit brunches into biochar as carbon
fertilizer for planting medium. The inceration process uses carbonized technology at temperature of
400 °F, developed by Ishenny Noor (2015). Application of 22-23% biochar as carbon fertilizer could
increase soil carbon content from 0,4 - 0,7% to 2% / Ha, physical and chemical soil quality, ground
water storage, fertilizer activity of soil microorganisms, soil nutrients. Application of biochar on rice
plantation yielded 10 tons / ha of black rice / Ha, while application on oil palm plantation yielded oil
palm fruit bunch of 20 to 40 kg / bunch. Production of biochar from oil palm empty bunches could
give an extra profit for a palm oil processing factory by Rp. 471,926,000 a year (with a capacity of
100 tons/hour of the oil palm empty bunches in 24 hour operation a day) with the ROI of 78%/years,

ABSTRACT. Cream made from cocoa polyphenol combined with aloe vera and seaweed has
been prepared and its anti-aging properties have been studied. Cream composition consisted
of cocoa butter, olive oil, sodium dodecyl sulfate polypropylene glycol, cetyl alcohol and distilled
water as the cream base. Cocoa polyphenol, aloe vera, and seaweed were used as active agents
to perform anti-aging activity. Anti-aging tests were done in vivo, using male Wistar rats. Anti-
aging tests included cream effectivity to protect skin from UV B radiation, which indicated by
wrinkle, exfoliation, erythema and skin elasticity. The research showed that skin smeared with
cream contained cocoa polyphenol, aloe vera and seaweed has less wrinkle and erythema
after being exposed to the UV B lamp for 2 weeks. The cream contained 3 active ingredients
(cocoa polyphenol, aloe vera and seaweed) showed less effectivity to protect against exfoliation
compared to the cream with only 2 active ingredients (aloe vera and seaweed). However, the skin
smeared with a cream containing 3 active ingredients is more resistant to UV B radiation than
the non-smeared skin. In addition, the skin smeared with the cream containing cocoa polyphenol,
aloe vera, and seaweed showed better elasticity compared to the non-smeared skin.

Abstract This paper deal with incineration of the oil palm empty fruit brunches into biochar as carbon
fertilizer for planting medium. The inceration process uses carbonized technology at temperature of 400
°F, developed by Ishenny Noor (2015). Application of 22-23% biochar as carbon fertilizer could increase
soil carbon content from 0,4 - 0,7% to 2% / Ha, physical and chemical soil quality, ground water storage,
fertilizer activity of soil microorganisms, soil nutrients. Application of biochar on rice plantation yielded 10
tons / ha of black rice / Ha, while application on oil palm plantation yielded oil palm fruit bunch of 20 to
40 kg / bunch. Production of biochar from oil palm empty bunches could give an extra profit for a palm
oil processing factory by Rp. 471,926,000 a year (with a capacity of 100 tons/hour of the oil palm empty
bunches in 24 hour operation a day) with the ROI of 78%/years, and B/C ratio of 1,71.
Keywords: incineration, biochar, planting media, empty palm oil bunch waste.

ABSTRACT
Cream made from cocoa polyphenol combined with aloe vera and seaweed has been prepared and
its anti-aging properties have been studied. Cream composition consisted of cocoa butter, olive oil,
sodium dodecyl sulfate polypropylene glycol, cetyl alcohol and distilled water as the cream base. Cocoa
polyphenol, aloe vera, and seaweed were used as active agents to perform anti-aging activity. Anti-aging
tests were done in vivo, using male Wistar rats. Anti-aging tests included cream effectivity to protect skin
from UV B radiation, which indicated by wrinkle, exfoliation, erythema and skin elasticity. The research
showed that skin smeared with cream contained cocoa polyphenol, aloe vera and seaweed has less
wrinkle and erythema after being exposed to the UV B lamp for 2 weeks. The cream contained 3
active ingredients (cocoa polyphenol, aloe vera and seaweed) showed less effectivity to protect against
exfoliation compared to the cream with only 2 active ingredients (aloe vera and seaweed). However, the
skin smeared with a cream containing 3 active ingredients is more resistant to UV B radiation than the
non-smeared skin. In addition, the skin smeared with the cream containing cocoa polyphenol, aloe vera,
and seaweed showed better elasticity compared to the non-smeared skin.

Abstract:: The aim of this research is to know the effectivenes of adding yeast and sucrose to increase
the level of alcohol, acid and polyphenol liquid of cocoa beans pulp as bioherbisida. The research is
arranged in Completely Random Design (RAL) of two factor. The first factor was the addition of yeast
with concentration: 0.5% and 1%, the second factor of sucrose concentration consisted of: 0%, 1%, 2%,
and 3%. The addition of yeast and sucrose is done at the beginning of fermentation by mixing with wet
cocoa beans, then seeds in fermentation for 3 days. The pulp liquid dripping out of the fermentation box
is accommodated in Waskom. The parameters observed were: alcohol, total acid, acetic acid, citric acid
and polyphenol. The results showed that, the addition of yeast and sucrose significantly affected the
increase of alcohol content, total acid, acetic acid, citric acid and polyphenol. The addition of 1% yeast
and 2% sugar produced 0.77% alcohol content, 65.25% total acid, citric acid 2740,73 ppm, and acetate
acid 3915,33ppm, while the highest polyphenol level was 1056,84 ppm in addition of yeast 1 % and 3%
sucrose.

majemuk, paling banyak delapan kata.
• Contoh penulisan sitasi teks (Hidayat, 2001).
• Contoh penulisan Daftar Pustaka:
