ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT IN MATHEMATICS

I. Introduction
Mathematics is an exact science because every concept and
principle that involves it is explainable by a number of theories,
axioms, postulate and corollary. Mathematics is something that we
cannot possibly omit in our lives because it has proven to be very
valuable in our daily living at its contribution to the applications of
technology is far greater that you could ever imagine. Math is a
discipline that most people consider to be difficult and absurd, but if
only people learn to love Math, only then they would appreciate how
fun and enjoyable it is.

This year, I made a conscious effort to make my Mathematics

class a fun and interactive experience to my learners so that they
may be able to learn and acquire new skills from me. This approach
does not only impact to them positively but it also help me achieve
my learning objectives and target competencies. Though I cannot
deny the fact that some learners still find it hard to cope with the
lessons, I still appreciate the fact that they are giving their
attention and effort just to learn this semi-complicated but
beneficial subject.

On the next pages, you will get to see the achievements I have
had in Math through a joint effort with my learners, colleagues, and
school head. Here’s to hoping that more wonderful experiences are
in store for us in the nearest future.

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT IN MATHEMATICS

II. Accomplishments per Class

A. Grade 9 Mathematics (Pisces)

Teaching Grade 9 Mathematics is a bit of a challenge for me

because of the following reasons:
 Too many competencies to teach per quarter
 Difficult topics and concepts are included in the coverage
like factoring, inequalities, trigonometric identities and
proving; and
 The class is composed mostly of slow and less numerate
learners who frequently misses the class.
For two grading periods that I was their teacher, I made it a
point to exert more efforts to this class specially because I know
that most of them are frustrated learners in my subject. I
provided them varied activities so that their strengths may be
employed and their weakness may be remedied through the help
of their peers, and I am grateful because of the obvious
development that the class displayed for two quarters that have
with them.

B. Grade 10 Mathematics (Taurus and Virgo)

Grade 10 Mathematics is my most favorite subject to teach

because all of the competencies that are included in the yearly
coverage as stipulated in the curriculum guide as easy to achieve
and activities for learning are easy to facilitate.
I have had a fun time teaching this subject in my two
sections – Taurus and Virgo – because this batch of learners is
composed mostly of Math enthusiasts making it less hassle for me
to teach.
I provided my Grade 10 learners with varied activities
beyond what they commonly encounter to supplement their drive
to learn this subject.

C. Grade 11 General Mathematics & Statistics and

Probability

It is my first time to handle Grade 11 students this school

year, and it is also my first time to teach General Math and
Statistics and Probability for Senior High School. At first I thought
teaching these subjects to matured and experienced Math
learners will be easy, but I wrong. I was taken aback when I first
saw the list of competencies that need to be accomplished then
on, I already had I gut feel that it will be the most challenging
year for me in teaching Math to date. For sure, the challenge
would not be a piece of cake.
I was correct. I roughly made it through half of the
competencies and I was not really sure if my learners digested all
of those mathematical concepts that we tackled, but I am hopeful
that somehow, they were able to retain the more important
concepts that they will be needing on the future. I am also
dedicated to double or triple my efforts in teaching these subjects
on the next school year.

III. Developmental Activities

These are some of the activities in Math that we have during
the term:
 Quarterly Examinations
 Pre-tests and Post tests
 Worksheet Activities
 Seat work and Board work
 Peer Activities and Group Activities
 Quiz / Game Shows
 Oral Recitations
 Reporting
 Research Work
 K-W-L Charts
 Reflection Logs

Critical Content of Mathematics 8 held in Cecile’s Hotel
and Restaurant, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, Philippines
from October 21, 2018 to October 31, 2018
 Mr. Reygie L. Fabriga became a LESSON SIMULATOR /
DEMONSTATOR on “Factoring” in front of 5 facilitators
and 139 teachers from Region IX during the Regional
Training on Critical Content of Mathematics 8 held in
Cecile’s Hotel and Restaurant, Ipil, Zamboanga
Sibugay, Philippines.
 Mr. Reygie L. Fabriga coached Beam Beam Boracho and
Mailyn Trocio during the District Level Math Olympiad
held in Tambulig National High School on November 12,
2018 and won the FIRST PLACE.
 Mr. Reygie L. Fabriga coached Beam Beam Boracho and
Mailyn Trocio during the QualCi Level Math Olympiad
held in Sominot National High School on November 13,
2018 and won the THIRD PLACE.
 Mr. Reygie L. Fabriga coached Joseph Jay Ugmad, Beam
Beam Boracho and Mailyn Trocio during the QualCi
Level Elimination Metrobank and MTAP Math Challenge

DOCUMENTATIONS
Mrs. Ellen L. Sobretodo, TNHS – LTA
school head, gave me a wonderful chance
and opportunity when she sent me to
attend the Regional Training on Critical
Content in Mathematics Grade 8 even if I
was not part of the original list of
participants. I accepted the challenge and
promised to do my best.

I had a chance to have a photo with one of our

brilliant facilitators, Mr. Abajon (in maroon) from
Pagadian City Division, the son of Dr.
Saturnina Abajon. of ZDS Division.

Our group had a wonderful

experience with these three brilliant
facilitator from Zamboanga City,
Dapitan City, and Zamboanga
Sibugay Divisions. They selflessly
shared what they know regarding the
critical subject matters of
Mathematics 8.

One of the best experience in

trainings is the chance to meet new
people with shared knowledge,
talents, and expertise. We were
able to connect tremendously and
shared meaningful experiences
with each other which we are
positive that we can use it in the
field of work.
Part of the once in a lifetime experience I have I can explain my happiness when I received my

The last day of the Brigada Eskwela 2018 has come. Several students, parents, and stakeholders
came back to attend the closing program. Everybody listened intently as updates and advisories
were given by the teachers and the school head. After the culminating program, the volunteers
once again gave their extra time to finish the remaining tasks that have been left off and they
eagerly waited as the Brigada slips and school supplies are distributed.
