(Pneumatic controllers, Level trolls, Control Valves, pressure switches, Safety relief

Nature of work : Pre commissioning and commissioning of Boilers, Steam
turbines and Balance of Plant.
DOOSAN HEAVY INDUSTRIES AND CONSTRUCTION is one of Korea’s foremost EPC
contractors for plant projects. It has a wide Varity of project portfolios from Nuclear reactor vessels,
boilers, turbines, generators and other components for the power industry. They are also engaged in
sea water desalination systems and water treatment plants and other water related facilities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
 Manage and supervise the pre commissioning and commissioning activities in the boilers,
turbines and balance of plant.
 Testing and commissioning of plant field instruments including transmitters, switches, control
valves and MOV’s.
 Commissioning of instruments related to balance of plant system.
 Involved in commissioning of PLC’s like Siemens SIMATIC PCS7, Siemens S7-400, and
Siemens S7-200.
 Involved in the testing and commissioning of instruments related to boilers like soot blowers,
flame scanners, burners, transmitters, control valves and burner management systems.
 Involved in the Turbine control system testing and commissioning (MARK V1)
 Involved in the commissioning activities like motor solo tests, steam blowing, lube oil
flushing, turbine rolling and synchronization.
 Involved in plant start up activities.
 Check regularly performance of equipments and plant, Includes making regular round of
plant.
 Follows up non-routine tasks like equipments changeovers and maintenance work to ensure
that work is carried out efficiently and according to safety standards.
 Applies the Quality Procedures and ensures that the downstream follows these procedures.
 Co ordinate with Electrical group to Rack out and Rack in for Motor and Pumps functional
check.
 Familiar with permit to work system.

Roles & Responsibilities:
 To manage /supervise the Loop Checking, Functional check and Pre-commissioning
Activities
 Preparation of the Documents and Loop folder and Functional test Folder prior to start the
work. To verify the loop folder and Functional test Folder against the documents. If any
Mismatches report to engineering for change in INTOOLS
  Segment checking of the Foundation Field Bus (FF) system.
 Power-up, Decommissioning and Commissioning of the FF instruments.
 Lead the Pre-testing and Trouble Shooting activities.
 Functional check of the IPS, HIPPS & F&G System.
 Functional check of the SEQUENCE Check.(Motor,Pumps,etc)
 Co ordinate with Electrical group to Rack out and Rack in for Motor and Pumps functional
check.
 Establish a working relationship and communicating with client as well as assigned crews
 Familiar with permit to work system.
 Co-ordination with different groups regarding day-to-day activities.
 Plan & Schedule Group priorities and resources in line with Construction and commissioning
schedule, monitoring subsequent progress.
 Timely reporting and updating progress to the management
 Conducting Pre calibration checking and Final Inspection with Client.
 Preparing relevant documents for RFI, ITR, raising NCR, DR, TQ etc
