A Dangerous Christmas

It was Christmas Eve. Mary and Laura were bored. Their mum did all the work and
preparations for Christmas, so there was nothing left for them to do. The two girls were in their
room. Mary was annoyed with her video game, and Laura was in bed. She stood up suddenly.
“I can’t believe they are still charging Bill!” Laura said to her sister.
“Stop thinking about it! It’s obvious they know what they’re doing. The man definitely did
something.” her sister said, mumbling a curse as well.
“I’m sure he didn’t force himself on the girl. That’s wrong and it doesn’t sound like something
he would do.” she said raising her voice. She was pissed off.
“Can you stop speaking as if you know the guy?” Mary shouted. She lost the game. “You only
know him from magazines and TV. Who knows what he’s like?”
“You really don’t get it, do you?” Laura whispered, throwing away the magazine that made her
feel sad and angry. She left the room while her sister picked up the item.

Highlights: It’s true! Bill Murray raped Julia Martin, the daughter of the business man
Richard Martin. The man declared for us, exclusively, that the singer destroyed his
daughter’s life, as she’s dealing with a major depression. Mr. Martin also said that the
singer won’t get away with it easily.

The article was clear. And she knew people can do crazy things. Why not him as well?
Just because he’s her sister favourite artist? As soon as she thought that, Laura walked into the
room.
“I’m sure she’s lying and I will prove it!”
“How on Earth are you going to do that? He’s in prison!”
“I’ll find a way.” Laura said, grabbing her coat. “I need to go out and clear my head. I need some
air.” She left the room again, leaving her sister in a daze.
It was 6 o’clock in the evening, but it was dark. It was snowing as well. Laura smiled and
looked for a taxi. She was going to the police station, where Bill was locked up. They said that
he will be kept at the local police department until they have enough evidence to charge him
and put him in a real prison.
Soon enough she was in front of the police station. It was a tall building, lighten up with
Christmas lights. After a few moments, she walked into the main hallway. A police officer came
to her.
“Can I help you, young lady?”
“I guess…I want to see someone. He’s being kept here…”
“Visiting hours ended.”
“Please, it’s important.” she begged him.

1
“Are you a relative?”
“I’m his friend.” Laura said. The police officer looked at her suspiciously.
“I’m sorry. I can only let relatives in.” He was firm. Laura needed to do something quickly.
“Please! I only need to ask him a couple of questions. It will be quick, really.”
“And who is this person?”
“Bill…Bill Murray.”
“Is this a joke?” the police officer asked. Now he was annoyed.
“No, it’s not. I really need to see him. Please, officer!”
She looked at the man with a pathetic look on her face. She was desperate.
“What can you possibly say to a rapist? Just let him rot in there.” the policeman said, looking
towards the cells. Laura noticed and muttered I’m sorry, taking the man by surprise. She ran
towards the doors that lead to the cells.
“Hey! Stop!” the officer shouted. She kept running, desperation and adrenaline invading her
body. She didn’t really know where to go exactly. She passed another officer who looked at her
surprised. Then he heard his colleague shouting. He also started chasing Laura. She looked
behind. There were two men coming towards her. She saw another big door on her left and
entered. There, she saw four cells. Bill was in one of them.
“Bill!” she shouted going towards him.
“What do you want? Who are you?”
“I want to help you. Please let me do it.”
“Go away! There’s nothing you can do.”
“But I…I don’t believe you di…”
“Hey! Don’t move young lady!” one of the policemen said. They came and grabbed her.
“Bill, I know you’re innocent. I know you didn’t do it. Let me help you!” she shouted while the
two men took her out. She found herself thrown into the snow.
“You better go home, unless you want to spend the night in a cell.” one of the police officers
said.
“You idiots.” she mumbled. “That’s not how you should treat a girl!” she shouted, but they
were already inside. She shook the snow off her coat and went back home.

Around midnight, Laura woke up. Her sister was sound asleep, but she couldn’t close an
eye. She tossed and turned, unable to sleep properly. Bill was still in prison. The feeling she had
about the whole story wouldn’t give her peace. And she really liked the guy. She liked the band,
the type of music, the lyrics which were so nice and sentimental. He was the one who wrote
most of their songs and she liked that. Plus, he was a caring guy who would put his soul into
everything. It was impossible that Bill raped a girl – not the type of thing he would do.
Laura got dressed and went to the kitchen. She grabbed a bag in which she put some
oranges and muffins. Then she put it in her backpack, put on her coat and left home. It was cold

2
and it was still snowing. Not a single car could be seen on the street, so she had to walk all the
way to the police station. Luckily for her, it wasn’t too far away, but it was a pain since it was so
cold outside.
After almost an hour she was back in the front of the police station. She looked inside
the building, looking for the policeman she met earlier. No sign of him. Instead, there was a
lady at the desk. ‘She can’t be more than 25 years old.’ Laura thought and entered. The woman
looked at her and smiled.
“Hi. Can I help you, sweety?”
“Hello. I…I was wondering…well, uhm…I want to see someone…”
“At this late hour? It’s impossible!”
“Please! I want to see Bill Murray. It won’t take long. Please…”
The woman looked at her. She was thinking about how sad the girl looked. Laura
noticed.
“I’m not crazy. And I don’t want to kill him or anything. God! I wouldn’t do it. I like his band.
And I think he’s innocent. I’m sure actually.”
“You sure don’t look like a crazy person. Why do you want to see him?”
“Well…” she started, opening her backpack. “…it’s Christmas and…he’s all alone. I have some
oranges and muffins for him.” she said smiling, showing the lady the bag with goodies.
“You’re a brave and special girl, you know that?” she said smiling. “My name is Kitty, by the
way.”
“I’m Laura.”
“Look…I’m not allowed to do this, but I’ll give you 15 minutes. No more, no less. OK?”
Laura looked at her amazed. Why would she do that? She nodded and ran to him.
It was dark on the hallway, only a couple of lights lightening the place. She went to his
cell. He had his back turned at her.
“Bill?” she whispered. He rolled and looked at her. He was surprised. “Hi.” Laura said smiling.
“What are you doing here?”
“Please don’t be mad at me. I want to help you. Oh! Here. I brought these for you.” she said,
holding the oranges. “Merry Christmas!”
The boy was amazed. He was surprised. He had no idea who the girl was or why she
cared about him. Tears started to roll down his cheeks.
“No, no, no! Don’t do that, Bill!” She said, trying to get closer, but the bars were keeping her
away. “Bill, I know you’re innocent. I’m sure about it. It’s just a feeling that I have, but I am sure
as hell you’re not guilty.”
“Shut up. You know nothing!”
“It’s so clear that you’re lying! Why don’t you say the truth?” she asked, a lump in her throat
keeping her tears away.
“Hey! Time’s up, Laura.”

3
Laura turned around to see Kitty in the door.
“No…I need. I want to stay more.”
“Go away!”
Bill put the bag on a tiny table and went back to his bed. Laura and Kitty left. As they
were walking back to the front door, a policeman showed up. It was one of the officers she met
earlier.
“Hey, Kitty. Everything alright? Who’s the girl?”
“She’s my cousin.” Kitty started. “She’s got a problem and she came to see me.”
“Do I know her? She looks familiar.”
Laura was staring at the floor. She was upset and she could care less about what
happened to her. But she didn’t want to cause Kitty problems so she decided to be quiet.
“Impossible. Look, I want to take her to the bathroom, and then home. Can you cover for me
for half an hour?”
“Sure. Take your time.”
“Thanks, Harry.”
The two girls went back towards the cells, but Kitty went right, not left. They entered
the bathroom.
“I can make him talk. He didn’t do anything.” Laura said.
“I know. Look, I can only give you a few more minutes. Are you sure you can get something out
from him?”
Laura looked at the girl amazed. She believed her? How? As much as she wanted to
know that, Bill was more important at the time. She nodded. Kitty took out a key and told her
to go. Laura went directly to his cell, opened the locker and entered. Kitty stood by the door to
make sure nobody came in there.
“What the…” Bill said, turning.
“Shh…be quiet. I’m not supposed to be here, but I really want to help you and somehow…the
universe is helping too. Talk to me.”
The boy looked at her. He stood up and approached her. He was taller than Laura. She
looked at his face, mimicking what he did.
“You’re cute.” Bill said. The girl blushed. “Look, I’m guilty, OK?”
“No, you’re not.”
“I am.”
“Nobody came to visit you. Why?” The two turned. Kitty was there. “I looked into the register.
Not a single friend came to visit you. Your parents. Not even your brother. Why?”
“Bill?” Laura looked at him. His expression changed. He was angry.
“Because they will die. Martin set me up. My dad used to do business with him, but he
managed to trick my dad. So he refused any other cooperation with Martin. My dad’s money

4
was a good deal for Martin’s business. Now…I fell in love with his daughter. As far as I know, he
asked her to do it, in order to ruin me and my brother, our band. I must say I’m guilty.”
By the time he ended his story, he had tears in his eyes. In a rush of the moment, Laura
hugged him, burying her face in his chest. The boy was surprised, but he put his arms around
her. Kitty looked at them surprised as well.
“Thank you.” Laura mumbled.
“I’ll go. Thank you for telling me…us this.” Kitty said. “Laura, I want you in my office in 5
minutes.” Kitty said before she left. The two of them were alone again.
“I knew you couldn’t do that.”
“You believed in me. I don’t know why, but…thank you. Laura, was it?”
“Oh…yes.” She said, taking a step back. “Hi. My name is Laura.” the girl said smiling, extending
her hand. Bill grabbed her hand and pulled her back into his arms.
“Sorry, but it feels nice to have some warmth around me.”
A few tears crossed her cheeks. She looked at him and smiled.
“I’m happy you told us what happened. I have to go, Bill. We’ll help you, you know.”
“If Richard finds out that police knows the story…they’ll kill my brother. He told me that. I need
Mark to be safe, Laura. Tell the lady that as well.”
“Are you serious?”
“Yes. Please! I’m scared.”
“Don’t worry. Kitty is great. She believes in you as well. She’ll solve it. I have to go.”
“Thank you.”
Laura smiled. She was happy. As she locked the cell, she heard Bill’s voice again.
“Merry Christmas, Laura.”
“Merry Christmas, Bill. Eat the things I brought.”
“Sure.”
Laura hurried to Kitty’s desk. The police woman was waiting for her.
“That took more than 5 minutes, but I have a plan.”
“First, I need to tell you an important thing. If Martin finds out that a police officer knows the
story, he will kill Bill’s brother.”
“What? Jesus! We need to act fast.”
“Tell me the plan.”
“Not now, and not here. I’ll call you tomorrow. Give me your phone number.”
Laura gave kitty her number and left; she had to get ready for the plan and the first step
is clear: sleep.

The next day was a normal Christmas day: family lunch, gifts, laughs, and carols. The two
sisters were happy and it seemed like Laura forgot everything about the story with Bill. Or so

5
thought her sister. When they got back to their room in the afternoon, Mary started the
interrogation.
“So where were you last night? And why were you crying when you came back? What did you
do for more than 3 hours, in the middle of the night?”
“Take a chill pill, sis. What’s with the inquisition?”
“I’m worried.” Mary said, sitting on a chair.
“I went to the police station.”
“You…what?!” Mary stood up, shouting.
“Chill! I didn’t do anything wrong. I met a police officer, I saw Bill. Kitty…”
“Kitty?”
“The police officer. She also thinks Bill’s innocent.” Laura said grabbing her phone. “She has a
plan to prove it.” Laura looked at her phone and noticed a couple of missed calls. She called
back, nervous. A familiar voice answered.
“Took you a while. It’s Kitty.”
“Oh my God! I’m so sorry. I…I didn’t have my phone around. I was with my family…what
happened?”
“What’s going on?” Mary asked. Laura waved at her to wait.
“I’ve got news. Julia came to see Bill.”
“What? Why?”
“No idea, but Bill didn’t want to talk to her. Anyway, we must meet. There’s a café across the
police station. Can you be there in half an hour?” Kitty asked Laura.
“Sure. I’ll bring my sister as well.”
“You have a sister?”
“Yes. See you in 30.” The girl said, hanging up. “We have to go. Did you drink anything? Can you
drive?”
“I had a glass of wine, but that’s OK. I can drive. Where are we going?”
“To meet Kitty.”
“Why?”
“Please, sis, help us. I’ll tell you everything on the road.”
“Jesus! OK.” She said rolling her eyes. “Let’s go.”
In 20 minutes the girls were at the café, waiting for Kitty. The woman came soon after.
“Hey! Kitty, this is Mary, my sister.”
“Hello! Nice to meet you, Mary.”
“Hi!” The two shook hands.
“Did Laura tell you what we found out? Are you going to help us?”
“She told me, yes. I couldn’t believe. I mean, I was sure Bill was not an angel. But…that Richard
guy is the worst.” Mary said.

6
“Anyway…I’ll be here again tonight. Could you come again to talk to Bill and make a plan? I
have a few ideas, but I want to check with him first. The idea is, first we need to get a hold of
his brother. To make sure he’s safe. Then we’ll…see.”
“That’s your plan?” Mary asked.
“It’s everything I can do for now. Plus, I need to find a reason to go and face Richard.”
“So, what time do we have to be at the office?”
“Around 10:30?”
“Sounds good. We’ll be there.” Laura said looking at her sister. Mary nodded. Kitty stood up,
telling them to wait 20 minutes before leaving. The girls nodded, looking at each other.

Around 10 o’clock, the two sisters were getting ready to leave. While she was getting
dressed, Laura got a phone call. It was Kitty.
“Hey. We’re going to leave in 10 minutes tops.”
“Richard found out.”
“What? What do you mean?”
“What’s up, sis?” Mary asked.
“He knows that Bill talked to us.”
“Richard found out that Bill talked to us.” She told her sister. “But how, Kitty?”
“No idea. I asked a friend to spy on him and that’s how I found out. He’s a private detective/spy.
He managed to get inside his office and put a microphone on his phone. The landline. I’m
worried sick about Mark. And I didn’t tell Bill anything. He would die.”
“I’m sure he will. We need to go to Mark tonight.”
“Yes. Get here ASAP 1.”
Laura hung up, looking worried and pale. She sat down. Mary put her phone in her bag
and she was ready to go.
“What are we going to do now?”
“Make sure Mark is safe. I’m thinking about Bill. He’ll be devastated if something happens to his
brother. You know they have a great relationship. I’ve never seen siblings like them.”
“Except us.”
Laura looked at her sister. She smiled, got up and hugged Mary.
“Thank you.”
“Let’s go!”
Laura and Mary got to the police station as fast as they could. Laura asked Mary to wait
for her in the car. She wanted to see Bill and get Kitty.
She went inside and saw a police officer. She asked for Kitty and he called her. Kitty was
there in a moment. She took Laura and went towards the bathroom.

1
as soon as possible
7
“I know you want to see Bill. Five minutes. And don’t tell him anything. I’ll wait here.”
“Thank you, Kitty. You’re the best.”
Laura hugged the woman and then ran to Bill’s cell. He was lying in the rough bed.
“Hey! Are you awake?”
“Wha…oh! Hello. I thought I’ll never see you again.”
“Tough luck.”
“I would say it’s just luck. How are you, Laura?”
“I’m OK. How are you?”
“Surviving.”
“Glad to hear that. We didn’t forget, you know. We are going to help you. Me and Kitty.”
“It kind of worries me, but it’s nice to know that somebody who doesn’t even know me wants
to get me out of this mess.”
“I know you from the press. Uhm…I’m a big fan of your band. The songs are amazing. And you
guys are amazing. I might sound like a crazy fan girl, and I don’t want you to believe that,
but…somehow I feel really close to you. To all of you. To your band. I’m lucky I decided to come
here and meet you. And I’m glad I also met Kitty.” Laura said sincerely.
“Wow…that’s…I don’t think any of my fans ever did something like this.” Bill was amazed. He
never met a girl, a fan like her. “It is a little weird though.”
“I’m sure it is. Listen…I know it’s probably too soon and extremely weird, given the situation…”
Laura started looking around and pointing at the bars “…but after everything is finished and
you’re out…would you like to have a coffee together?”
Bill started to laugh. He looked at the girl in front of him and laughed his heart out.
Laura blushed, realising it was a dumb idea.
“I’m sorry. I have to go now. Bye!” she said, running to the door. She was embarrassed.
“Wait! The answer’s yes.” Bill shouted. Laura stopped, but she didn’t turn around. “I was
laughing because…you made a really funny and…and cute face that didn’t really fit with the
question. I’m sorry if I made you...”
Laura turned and smiled, with tears streaming down her cheeks. She felt so many mixed
emotions inside. She didn’t know what to say. She said OK and turned around and ran to Kitty.
“Took you a while.” Kitty said. She noticed the tears, but she decided to let it be.
“Shut up. So…what now?”
“Is your sister out?”
“Waiting in the car.”
“Great. My friend – the spy – is also waiting. We’ll use his car. Let’s go.”
The two went out. Laura told her sister to park the car and meet them in front of the
café’s parking lot. When all three were there, a dark blue SUV2 pulled over. Kitty opened a door

a big car; a jeep

and told the girls to climb in. They took the back seats, while Kitty got in the right, next to the
driver.
“Hi, Charles. There are the two girls I told you about, Laura and…”
“…and Mary Stewart. Nice to meet you.” The man said turning to face them. He was in his
fifties, with his dark grey hair and dark eyes. He was a charming man.
“You…how…”
“Mary, he’s a spy / detective.” Laura said.
“Ex-detective, currently a spy.”
The two girls were amazed. He pulled back on the road, heading to Mark’s apartment.
Kitty told them what they had in mind and how they were going to do it.
“I’m not going in. One of you has to do it.”
“I’ll do it.” Laura said.
“I was thinking about Mary. Your reddish hair is too…outstanding.” Charles said.
“Me?”
“Yes. You’ll wear a microphone and a headset. We’ll be in touch all the time.”
“I don’t know what…”
“Please, Mary!” Laura begged her sister.
“Gee, OK!”
Charles parked the car and went to the back to help Mary put on the gear. It was a
wireless microphone and a very small speaker, unnoticeable.
“I know you’re the older one. That’s another reason I chose you.” Charles told Mary. “You can
be more diplomatic.”
“But I’ve never done this.”
“You never tried to find out a secret from your friends? Or make them do something you
want?”
“You mean manipulate them?”
“Basically.”
“No.”
“Oh, come on sis. You did it countless times.”
“Shut up!”
“Now…Mark lives on the top floor, apartment 78.” Charles told the girl.
“Here. I got this from Bill’s belongings. It’s the key.” Kitty said, giving Mary the key.
“Wow!” Laura exclaimed.
“Yeah, we’re that good.” Charles said, grinning.
“So…what do I tell him?” Mary asked. Everybody was silent, looking at each other. “Perfect!”
she said, sarcasm in her voice.
“That you’re a neighbour and you need some help?” Laura suggested.
“Help with?”

9
“You need a plumber.”
“Wow!” Mary said, rolling her eyes. She got off the car and went to the building. She used the
key to get in and went to the lift. As soon as the doors opened at the top floor, she saw Mark
and a girl talking. His door was opened, but he didn’t want her in, as he kept saying “Go away!”
“Guys, something’s up. There’s a girl. Mark keeps asking her to leave, but she insists.”
“What does she look like?” Charles asked.
“Around my height, blond, slim. She’s got an expensive Louis Vuitton bag.”
“That’s Julia!” Kitty screamed.
“I think I’m def…” Mary complained.
“Go get him out of there quickly!” Kitty continued.
Mary paced up and soon was next to them.
“Excuse me. I don’t want to bother you, but I have a problem.”
The two of them looked at her. Mark raised his eyebrows.
“We’re busy.” Julia said.
“No, we’re not. She was leaving.” Mark said, looking at the blonde girl.
“Sweety, we’re not finished.”
“I don’t really care what you two are doing, but as I said, there’s a problem. I’m leaving under
your apartment. There’s water coming out the bathroom ceiling. I guess it’s from you?”
“Are you serious? How does that influence your bathroom?” Julia said, rolling her eyes.
“Shoot! I forgot the water running. I was about to take a shower and…”
“Right. Can you solve it? Like…now?” Mary asked.
“Sure! Sure!” Mark said, running to the bathroom. That was Julia’s chance to get into his
apartment.
“She’s a dumb bitch.” Mary whispered and walked in as well.
“Why are you still here?” Julia asked.
“I also need to ask him a favour.”
“Why are you still here, Julia? I told you to leave. I don’t want to see you OR listen to you. You
did enough.”
“But, sweety…”
“Don’t sweety me.”
Mary coughed, getting their attention.
“Mark, I also need your help. Could you come downstairs and check the pipes? It was too much
water for just a shower who was forgot. I live with my mum, and…well, it’s just the two of us.”
“Do I look like a plumber?”
“Well…no, but I figured you know stuff…since you’re a man. Are you a man?”
“Of course I am!”
“Haha! That hit his ego. Great job, girl!” Mary heard in her speaker. She smiled and waited for
an answer.

10
“Let’s go.”
“Really, you’re going?”
“Julia, if you want to wait here, do it. If you want to go, go. I really don’t care.”
Mark motioned for Mary to go. When they went out of the apartment, Mary smiled and
told him not to panic, because she needs to tell him an important thing.
“What are you talking about?”
“I’m with the police. Julia is dangerous. I had to get you out of there. Please, come with me. It’s
for your safety. Bill is worried about you.”
“Bill? How? He did a monstrous thing.”
“Bring him to us.” Julie told the girl.
The two got to the elevator and called it. When the doors opened, there were two guys
with guns in their hands. They took a few steps back and tried to go back to the apartment, but
Julie was coming towards them. She also had a gun in her hand.
“Guys, we’re in trouble. Guns and stuff. Come quickly!” Mary shouted at the policemen in the
car.
“So, you thought you could get away just like that?” Julie asked, smiling.
“What’s going on?”
“You bitch! So your father really is a bastard. And so are you.” Mary said. “Beside the fact that
you’re an idiot, you try to do the lowest things.”
“What do you know? And who the hell are you?”
“My name is not important, it doesn’t matter who I am.”
“What is going on?!” Mark shouted, looking at the two girls, then at the men behind him.
“Then, pretty lady, you’ll go down with Mark. If you wanted to be part of this.”
“Nobody wanted that. You’re the criminal. You and your father. How could you do something
like that? How could you set someone up? How could your father ask you to be a victim of a
rape – even though it’s made up?”
“Shut up, bitch.”
“What are you saying…Mary?”
“That your brother is innocent. He was framed. By Julia and her dad.”
“So my brother is not…the bad guy?”
“No.” Mary said, looking at the relieved expression on the boy’s face.
“Oh, what do you know? It your father’s fault, Mark! If he carried on with the business, we
wouldn’t be here. And it seems that my dad was right. He talked to the police about it. His deal
is off. You’re gonna get killed.”
“You wouldn’t dare, Julia!” Mark said.
“Of course I dare!” the girl said, pointing her gun at him. Mary looked around and noticed a
door that led to some stairs. She grabbed Mark’s hand and started running towards an escape
route. Julia fired, missing. She fired again, hitting one of the windows.

11
“I hope you’re close guys, ‘cause the nut-head started shooting us! We’re heading down, on the
stairs, but the guys are following us.” Mary was shouting.
“I’m in the elevator, sixth floor.” Charles said.
“I’m going up the stairs. Stay out of their way until I meet you. Fourth floor.” Julie added.
There was another shot, but no one was hit. Mary and Mark kept running, but the guys
were following, shooting occasionally.
“Shit!” Mary said. “Now I wish I had a gun.”
“I got Julie!” Charles said. “Handcuffs around her wrist, baby!”
“I see them!” Kitty said. Mary heard two shots and then silence. No footsteps, nothing.
“Mark?” she whispered, looking at the boy.
“I’m fine. You?”
“I’m good.”
A few footsteps could be heard and the next thing they saw was Kitty, looking worried
and grabbing Mary’s shoulder.
“You’re hit!”
“What?”
Both Mark and Mary looked at the spot Kitty’s hand was. There was blood running. Kitty
took her to the car and put some bandages around her arm.
“You’ll be OK. It doesn’t look like a deep wound. It’s just a scratch.”
“A bullet scratch!” Laura said worried.
“Police and Ambulance are coming. Wait here. I’m going to get the two bastards.” Kitty told
them. Charles had Julia, while Mark, Laura and Mary were in Charles’ SUV.

A week later, right after New Year, Bill was released. Charles recorded everything Julia
said before shooting Mark and Mary, and they charged both Julia and her father. Richard was
fuming, threatening Bill and Mark when he saw them in the court. For that, he got more years
in prison. Kitty got a penalty, for not telling the chief what she did. But she also got a
promotion. She was now an on-field detective.
As for the two sisters, they were rewarded for their bravery, and got a VIP special-ticket
for all the boys’ concerts. Laura was the happiest. She went on her coffee date with Bill.
Apparently, he didn’t forget about it. And he asked her out on another one. Mary, on the other
hand, discovered a hidden passion: spying. Charles agreed to take her and teach her all the
secrets of the job. And together they worked with police on different occasions, doing an
excellent detective-spy work.
