Sports Authority of India (SAI) is looking for a highly qualified and experienced Gymnastic
Foreign Coach to train/assist the Indian Gymnastic Indian Gymnastics/Team for achieving
excellence in World Championships/Olympics/Asian Games and other major international
competitions.

1. Required Qualification

 University Degree or its equivalent.

 Holder of a recognized Coaching qualification of Accredited FIG programme Level-3
Academy certificate.
 Should be able to communicate in English.
 Should be physically fit to demonstrate the technique to athletes while imparting training.
 Should be below 65 years of age. However, in exceptional cases, Sports Authority of India
may take a decision based on the credentials of the coach, if age exceeds 65 years.
 High level of computer literacy.

2. Required Experience:-

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 Awareness/knowledge of child protection in sports and equal opportunity issues in the
context of India are an added advantage.
 Minimum of 10 year professional Coaching experience and proven record of achievement in
Coaching the Gymnasts with medal results at World Championship and Olympic or its
equivalent competitions.

3. Job Description:- The Foreign Coach will be responsible for the following:-

 To co-ordinate, design and implement training programme for the Elite Gymnasts (men,
Women, Boys & Girls) in India.
 To fully utilize and integrate scientific, medical and other Gymnastics support services into
the Elite to enhance elite training outcome.
 To monitor Gymnasts performance through comprehensive, multi method assessment and
regular evaluation method.
 To provide timely and critically analyzed progress reports to the SAI.
 To be responsible for administrative matters related to local & overseas squad training &
Competitions.
 To supervise, Assistant Coaches (Indian-Coaches) including part time coaches.
 To assist the SAI with Coaching Education Programme.
 To perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by the Authority.

4. Accountability:-

 The Coach would be given specific task/target to be achieved during the period of the
contract.

 The Coach would provide his/her services at any place in India, where so required by SAI,
shall perform his duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned to him/her by SAI to the
satisfaction and in accordance with the direction of SAI.

5. Salary

 Salary shall be commensurate to International standards and shall be based on experience,

qualification and proven track record.

6. Tenure
 The Foreign Coach would be engaged for a period of upto 2020 Olympics subject to annual
performance review.
