Bloom's Digital Taxonomy

Examination Assessment Tool


Purpose:
This tool is designed to analyse the composition and structure of examinations and tests for the balance of Higher Order and
Lower Order thinking skills.

Process:
1. In the first column enter the question number
2. Match the action verbs in the questions to the corresponding columns in the table
3. Enter the marks assigned to each question in the cells that match question number and the verb.
4. Repeat this process for the examination.
5. Total the marks in each taxonomic level and calculate the percentage of the assessment task at each taxonomic level.
