I couldn’t find a suitable guide so I tried it out for myself.

I just went for the first tool I could find that seemed to do the job - Automate.io

You can actually use this (and similar software) to automate many common admin tasks. It
taks some upfront investment in the time to learn and configure the services but it may be
worth it. I know from experience that most Mistresses prefer to do their own admin rather
than get a PA or trust a sub to do it… but I also know it’s very time consuming so perhaps
things like this might help. You could certainly get one of your more technology minded
subs to investigate for you.

I remember speaking to a clip/content producer years ago about the problems of uploading
to multiple clip sites. I am really surprised somebody hasn’t written a bit of software that
manages all the uploads and specifics of each site. It wouldn’t be that hard to do (it’s the
sort of thing I do for a living but in a non-adult field). If you have time to drop me a note of
what problems you have with this and where your time could be saved I’d be happy to think
about how it could be improved… there are 1000s of people out there that presumably have
similar issues!

Anyway, back to the task in hand.

Automate.io is a paid service but it has a free basic plan that allows 250 “actions a month” …
reading your email is 1 action, doing something with it another. This may be good enough
for posting for sales occasionally. There are a variety of paid plans that give you more
“actions” and functionality with a free 7 day trial of all the other plans.

Here’s what I did to try it out (easier on a computer but you can also use the mobile version)

- Sign up for a free account. Easy – just follow the instructions

- It asks you to selects apps you use… it makes you select 5 upfront but you can
add/remove later. For now I just need gmail and twitter.

The main screen shows recommended “bots” based on the apps you have selected.
Removing all the ones I am not interested in (click the cross) shows me some ideas:
There are several of these that you could consider… or you can create your own. You
can actually chain multiple services together so you might want to receive an email,
tweet about it, then add a reminder to your calendar. Endless possibilities!

The one I’ve experimented with is…

Depending on how you use gmail (labelling / folders etc) you may want a different
approach.

Clicking Try it Now shows…

You then link to your gmail and twitter accounts (you only do this once if you haven’t
previously configured)

Just allow authorise.io to connect to the appropriate accounts. It’s probably worth
testing in a dedicated test email account and Twitter account first and then migrating
but it’s actually fairly low risk if you’re careful.

In theory you can delete things using this automation tool – so it warns you that you are
potentially giving automate.io permission to do this. This shouldn’t happen if you’re
sensible, so don’t worry too much!

Once access to your email and Twitter accounts is configured you should see something
like this:
I don’t know what your clip sales emails look like so you’ll have to experiment for
yourselves (ideally using test accounts)

As an example… the following will look for any new email coming from a particular email
address – uk_kinky_ken@yahoo.co.uk – it uses the same search as it would searching
inside gmail so you can use all types of wildcards.
The output fields are then used to create the tweet. So if I wanted to use the subject
line I could drag these across (or click the + symbol)

A very basic example:

Of course what you probably want to do is extract specific bits of text like the name of
the clip sold and suchlike. This adds a bit of complexity, but isn’t too hard with a bit of
time to learn and experiment.

There are tools that can help. All the “actions” work in a chain, so you can extract from
gmail, do something to process the email, send to twitter, send to other social media,
add to dropbox etc.

One tool for processing the email is called the “Formatter” – you can use it to process
the text in the email and extract relevant bits. There are probably many other ways of
doing this too.

As an example I can now add something that looks for a link inside of the body of the
email…. and add it to my Tweet.
It’s very powerful but could get a bit complicated depending on what you need to do
with your emails from the clip sites. It’s just a case of experimenting and using the
documentation / forums.

If I save this and then test.

Clicking the button shows:

I’m now going to send an email from my kink (yahoo email) to my personal gmail email.
In reality this would be the clip site sending you an email about a sale.

My test email.

Which I receive in Gmail:

Once click “I’m done. Run the test” – this forces a manual check / test run.

.. et voilla, a new tweet is created!

Here it is:
https://twitter.com/ukkinkyken/status/1117521346999869440

You can then start it up on the free account, or they’ll try to sell you the paid ones!
Once you’re ready to go, it will automatically check your email every 5 minutes and then
the bot will do whatever it is instructed to do.

As I said, there are lots of possibilities for automating admin!

I hope this helps.
