California Report on Migration and
Health
The UCLA center for Health Policy Research has
released a report, "Migration and Health: Mexican
Immigrant Women in the United States." This
study aims to increase overall understanding of
health determinants, access and use of health
services, and the health conditions of adult
Mexican-born women in the U.S. It relies on a
comparative perspective with U.S.-born, non-
Hispanic white and African-American women and
immigrants from other countries.

Colorado Health Institute Releases

New Publications
Researchers at the Colorado Health Institute
(CHI) have released two new publications. Jeff
Bontrager and Allison Summerton presented
"Helping communities prepare for health reform -
Coverage estimates of Coloradans after
implementation" at the Bringing Health Home
Learning Collaborative Meeting in Denver, CO.
This presentation provided high-level background
information on how many uninsured Coloradans
are estimated to become newly insured after the
implementation of health reform, how many will
remain uninsured, and their characteristics.

CHI also released "Collaborative Models of

Primary Care: Case Studies in Colorado
Innovation," a scan of various primary care clinics
that utilize interdisciplinary collaborative models
for the provision of primary care.
