FOUND OUTSIDE AT BARKMEIJER’S BERTH V23

L
ibra is the fourth 22m aluminium pilot boat to be
built by Barkmeijer of the Netherlands in this series
of Camarc pilot boats for Loodswezen, Dutch Pilot
Association. The series built by Barkmeijer follows on from the
first three vessels of this design built by Kvichak Marine in the
US for the same operator. The 22m designs replace the original
Loodswezen fleet of 21m Camarc pilot boats, the ‘Discovery
Class’, which were built between 1995 & 2000. The new vessels
again have waterjet propulsion reaching speeds of 28 Knots
and feature improved equipment and comfort, achieving noise
levels in the wheelhouse below 60 dBA at full speed. As can be
found on the range of Camarc pilot boats these vessels offer
specific hull design, structure, fendering and all-round visibility
which has been tailored to meet the very particular and rigorous
requirements of one of the leading pilotage organisations.

TEHNOMONT DELIVER Their SECOND 25M OF CLASS TO GIBRALTAR

he first two 45m aluminium vessels of the Camarc crewboat range
are under construction at Triangle Shipbuilding’s facility in Dubai,
due for delivery at the end of 2015. The designs feature a specifically
developed hull design to improve both efficiency and comfort over conventional
craft in the Crewboat and offshore markets. The new design has evolved from
Camarc’s well proven double chine hull form with efficient dry running at speed

and excellent all-round seakeeping. This hull series was optimised and tank
tested to present a refined shape forward improving both efficiencies and
vertical accelerations, leading on to improved fuel economy and comfort for

15M FIRE BOAT
RAPID RESPONSE FIREBOAT Building In Turkey

oca Engineering of Turkey are building a Camarc
15m rapid response fireboat. With an all-aluminium
construction and waterjet propulsion the vessel
has been designed to achieve speeds in the region of 40
Knots and perform firefighting and rescue duties as a ‘first
responder’. The vessel will be fitted with two engine driven
fire pumps, each with a capacity of 600m3/hr supplying 4 fire
monitors.
18M PILOT BOAT IN NZ
SELF-RIGHTING PILOT BOAT FOR PORT TARANAKI, NEW ZEALAND

-West of New Zealand have delivered a Camarc
18m pilot boat to Port Taranaki which is capable
of speeds in excess of 30 Knots. The all-aluminium
vessel was designed to be self-righting due to the extreme
conditions faced during operations which include a rescue role
for the boat. The Camarc Popsure fender system along with a
specific bow boarding section has been fitted. The design also
features a resiliently mounted wheelhouse to reduce noise
levels and a hydraulic rescue cradle aft for rescue operations.

45M OPV DELIVERED
45M OPV FOR SENEGAL NAVY BUILT BY RAIDCO MARINE, FRANCE
45m OPV built by Raidco Marine of France has been delivered to the
Senegal Navy. Featuring the Camarc hull design and arrangement the
OPV can perform extended patrol duties with accommodation and
facilities for 17 crew and 8 passengers. Installed are two 6m high speed intercept
RIB’s, also designed by Camarc along with rapid RIB launch & recovery systems.
DESIGNS IN SINGAPORE
RANGE OF CAMARC DESIGNS BUILT BY LITA OCEAN, SINGAPORE

Lita Ocean of Singapore have recently delivered a number of Camarc
vessels for operators in the Middle East as well as Singapore itself.
This includes a series of five 12m patrol boats for the Singapore ICA
(Immigration & Checkpoints Authority). With twin waterjet propulsion these
vessels achieve speeds in excess of 36 Knots. Lita Ocean have also delivered a
number of Camarc Pilot boats including five 16m steel vessels and two 21m steel
vessels for Saudi. Also recently delivered was a Camarc 15m aluminium pilot
boat for Abu Dhabi Port Authority. For more information on these designs see
