Statement of the Problem and Hypothesis

The primary purpose of this study was to determine the

teaching effectiveness of teachers as influenced by possible

stress factors and attitudes at Estefania Montemayor National High

School, Dumarao, Capiz for the school year 2018 – 2019.

Specifically, this research sought to answer the following

questions:

1. What is the level of stress of the secondary school

teachers?

2. What is the level of teachers’ attitude of the secondary

school teachers?

4. What is the level of teaching effectiveness of secondary

school teachers?

5. Is there a significant difference in the stress level of

the secondary teachers when grouped according to sex, age, civil

status, teaching position, highest educational attainment, and

length of service?

6. Is there a significant difference in the Teachers’ attitude

of the secondary teachers when grouped according to sex, age, civil

status, teaching position, highest educational attainment, and

length of service?

7. Is there a significant difference in the teaching

effectiveness of the secondary teachers when grouped according to


sex, age, civil status, teaching position, highest educational

attainment, and length of service?

8. Are there significant relationship among stress level,

teachers’ attitude and teaching effectiveness of secondary school

teachers?

In view of the aforementioned problems, the following

hypotheses were tested:

1. There is no significant difference in the stress level of

the secondary teachers when grouped according to sex, age, civil

status, teaching position, highest educational attainment, and

length of service.

2. There is no significant difference in the Teachers’

attitude of the secondary teachers when grouped according to sex,

age, civil status, teaching position, highest educational

attainment, and length of service.

3. There is no significant difference in the teaching

effectiveness of the secondary teachers when grouped according to

sex, age, civil status, teaching position, highest educational

attainment, and length of service.

4. There is no significant relationship among stress level,

teachers’ attitude and teaching effectiveness of secondary school

teachers.
