The candidates seeking admission to M.A. Kannada and M.A. in Performing Arts (Theatre)
courses shall pay an additional fee of Rs.1600/-*(One thousand six hundred only) towards study
tour which is a part of the syllabus.

PAYMENT SEAT FEES


The candidates belonging to GM/OBC/Minorities seeking admission under Payment Category for
PG Courses in the Bangalore University Departments shall pay the following fees under Column 3 in
addition to the Regular fee prescribed for that particular course. **The SC/ST/Cat-I candidates of
Karnataka State whose parents annual income is less than or equal to Rs.2.5 Lakhs are eligible to pay
the concession fees prescribed under Column 4 in addition to other fees, while the candidates seeking
admission to second PG and those candidates whose parents’ annual income is more than 2.5 Lakhs
shall pay the fees as in Column 3 in addition to other fees.

FEES PRESCRIBED FOR FOREIGN NATIONALs & NRIs
The Foreign Nationals and NRIs shall pay US $ 2000/- per annum as annual fees for
various courses.

The students of the University Departments/ Constituent Colleges shall make the payment of
prescribed fees as instructed by the University.
The Government College students shall make the payment of prescribed fee as instructed by the
College authorities.

Fees once paid will not be refunded

I) FEES CONCESSION AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR SC/ST CANDIDATES WHO


SEEK ADMISSION TO BU DEPARTMENTS/CONSTITUENT COLLEGES
The SC/ST candidates within Karnataka and whose parents annual income is less than or equal to
2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh fifty thousand only) per annum shall pay the following fees subject to
submission of the photocopies of the following valid documents/certificates at the time of admission
#.
(a) Rs. 300/- (Rupees three hundred only) excluding *reimbursable compulsory fees for
regular seats
and
(b) Rs. 300/- (Rupees three hundred only) excluding *reimbursable compulsory fees
plus payment fees (the concession fees prescribed under (Column 4) for payment seats.
The other (compulsory) fees of SC/ST candidates will be reimbursed from the Social Welfare
Department (ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಆದೇಶ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ:¸ÀPÀE 83, ¥ÀPÀ« 2013, ¨ÉAUÀ¼ÀÆgÀÄ, ¢£ÁAPÀ 27/06/2013).
II) FEES CONCESSION AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR CAT-1,2A,3A & 3B CANDIDATES WHO
SEEK ADMISSION TO BU DEPARTMENTS/CONSTITUENT COLLEGES
As per ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಆದೇಶ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ : ಹಂವಕ 589 ಬಿಎಂಎಸ್ 2013, ಬಂಗಳೂರು ದಿನಕಂಕ: 06/08/2014, Cat-I
candidates whose parents’ annual income is less than or equal to Rs.2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh
fifty thousand only) and candidates belonging to 2A, 3A, 3B who have studied for a period of 7 (Seven)
academic years (commencing from 1st standard up to the qualifying examination either continuously
or in broken period) and whose parents’ Annual income is less than or equal to Rs. 1,00,000/-

(Rupees One Lakh Only) are exempted from paying Tuition, Laboratory, Library & Sports
Fees. They shall compulsorily apply for Fee Concession scholarship in the website
www.karepass.cgg.gov.in; of the BCWD and confirm that the fee concession has been reimbursed to
the Institution.
III) FEES CONCESSION AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR SC, ST, CAT-1,2A,3A & 3B
CANDIDATES WHO SEEK ADMISSION TO AFFILIATED GOVT COLLEGES
The SC/ST candidates within Karnataka of affiliated Government Colleges and whose parents
annual income is less than or equal to 2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh fifty thousand only) per annum
shall pay the following approval fees at the time of admission to II PG courses and II & III year MCA
course, subject to submission of the photocopies of the following valid documents/certificates #.

The Principals of the affiliated Government Colleges shall remit the fee mentioned at SL.No. 1,2,3
to the University, along with the Statement of admission approval of I year PG courses. The said fees
are reimbursed to the Government College bank account DIRECT BY CASH TRANSFER by the Social
Welfare Department. The Principals of the Government Colleges shall refund fees mentioned at
SL.No. 1,2,3 to the students after reimbursement from the Social Welfare Department.

IV) THE FOLLOWING SC/ST CANDIDATES ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO CLAIM FEE REIMBURSEMENT
(a) SC/ST students from other States.
(b) SC/ST of Karnataka students whose parents’ annual income is more than 2,50,000/-.
(c) SC/ST candidates who seeking admission to second PG course (PG discontinued is also
taken into account).
The candidates shown at (a), (b) & (c) shall pay the prescribed course fee and examination fees.
V) FEES TO BE PAID BY MINORITIES & CAT-I(>2.5L), 2A, 3A & 3B(>1.0 L) AND OTHER
STUDENTS OF KARNATAKA
However, Cat-I candidates whose parents’ annual income is more than Rs.2,50,000/- (Rupees Two
Lakh fifty thousand only) and candidates irrespective of Caste/ Community/ Religion, (2A, 3A, 3B and
others) who have studied for a period of 7 (Seven) academic years (commencing from 1st std. upto the
qualifying examination either continuously or in broken period) and whose parents’ Annual income is
more than Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Only) are not eligible to the fees concession.
The candidates belonging to minorities (i.e., Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Jains etc.,)
whose Parents’ Annual Income is less than 2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs Only) are eligible to apply
for Fees reimbursement from Minorities Welfare Department (MWD) as per the norms of MWD and
fee reimbursement same will be credited to the student’s bank account directly. Hence they shall pay
the course fee in full to the University.
EXAMINATION FEES
The Chairpersons/Principals of the University Departments/Constituent Colleges of BU and
Principals of the Government Colleges/ shall ensure that the students whose admissions are not
approved by the University/ having shortage of attendance and those students who do not fulfill the
requirement shall not be allowed to appear for the Examination.

The Chairpersons/Directors/Co-ordinators/Principals of Bangalore University Departments/ Constituent


Colleges and the Principals of Government Affiliated Colleges shall ensure that the students whose admissions
are not approved by the University/ having shortage of attendance and those students who do not fulfill the
requirement shall not be allowed to appear for the Examination.
The Eligible candidates shall pay the following prescribed examination fees prior to that semester
examination within stipulated date for the payment of fee as notified by the Registrar (Evaluation. The SC/ST
candidates within Karnataka and whose parents’ annual income is less than or equal to Rs.2,50,000/- (Rupees
Two Lakh, Fifty thousand only) per annum shall pay only the OMR fee of Rs.15/- since the prescribed fees will
be reimbursed by the Social Welfare Department.

However, the SC/ST candidates whose parents’ annual income is above Rs.2.5 Lakhs the
candidates other than SC/ST shall pay the prescribed examination & convocation fees.

The course and examination fees will be reimbursed by the Social Welfare Department to the Bank
account of Director of Students’ welfare, BUB in respect of students admitted in University
Departments/Constituent Colleges and to the bank account of Principals of Government Colleges in respect of
student allotted to the affiliated Government Colleges.
INSTRUCTIONS TO THE PRINCIPALS OF GOVERNMENT COLLEGES FOR CLAIMING REIMBURSEMENT OF
LOSS OF FEE OF SC/ST STUDENTS FROM THE SOCIAL WELFARE DEPARTMENT.
The Principals of the Government colleges shall verify whether the candidate has filled the prescribed
fee with examination fees and forward the online (post-metric) scholarship application of SC/ST students along with
the documents# for claiming reimbursement of loss of fee from the Social Welfare Department, Government of
Karnataka.
The Principals of the Government Colleges shall remit the Examination fee of even and odd semesters of
the SC/ST students, reimbursed by the Social Welfare Department to the Registrar (Evaluation) prior to the even
semester examination. In case of non-receipt of Fees reimbursement for what-ever reasons mentioned therein by
the Social Welfare Department, such students shall be directed to pay the prescribed Regular fees and odd &
even semester Examination fees before appearing for the even semester Examination.

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE HEADS OF THE DEPARTMENTS OF BANGALORE UNIVERSITY


DEPARTMENT/COLLEGES FOR CLAIMING REIMBURSEMENT OF LOSS OF FEE OF SC/ST STUDENTS FROM THE
SOCIAL WELFARE DEPARTMENT.
The Principals of constituent colleges of BU /Chairpersons/Directors/Co-ordinators of Bangalore
University Departments shall verify whether the candidate has filled the prescribed fee with examination fees and
forward the online (post-metric) scholarship application of SC/ST students along with the documents# for claiming
reimbursement of loss of fee from the Social Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka.
The Principals of constituent colleges of BU /Chairpersons/Directors/Co-ordinators of Bangalore
University Departments shall ascertain the receipt of fees reimbursement from the Social welfare Department with
the Office of the Director, Student Welfare, BUB. In case of non-receipt of Fees reimbursement for what-ever
reasons mentioned therein by the Social Welfare Department, such students shall be directed to pay the
prescribed Regular fees and odd & even semester Examination fees before appearing for the even semester
Examination.
