1.1.1. Footwork Positions
I. Sidestep ▪ 45 degree Sidestep (on Reverse Triangle),
▪ 90 degree Turns (Clockwise &
Counterclockwise)
▪ 180 degrees (Lateral & Linear)
II. Take-off On Reverse Triangle & With 3 Steps.
III. Forward Triangle (Closed Top), Fluid, Broken
IV. Reverse Triangle (Open Top), Fluid, Broken
V. Wave-in / Wave- (Short, Medium, Long) Circle in, then range out

VI. Ducking (Short, Medium, Long)
VII. Ranging (Short, Medium, Long)
▪ Inside
o Broken 1 High Hack
o Broken 1 Low Hack
o Fluid 1 to Cross Load

o Broken 2 High/Forearm check to Thrust

2.1. ADVANCED TRI-V FOOTWORK & BODY ANGLING
I. Wave-In / Wave-Out ▪ Four Corners of X with body angling
Body Angling & shoulder roll
▪ Same movement on Hour Glass

II. Hour Glass Combined Fluid (ranging footwork)
• Utilize Close/Open shuffle to move
through the middle of the Hour Glass
on a straight line.
• Move on outside perimeter of Hour
Glass
• Do Takeoff footwork on outside
perimeter line.
III. Diamond • Free flow, moving around perimeter,
Footwork cutting through the middle, and
isolating each triangle.
• Takeoff footwork, using Quick
Directional Change.

3.1. SOLO BASTON
3.1.1. Tirsia Corto - Close Range Quartering / Bridging the Gap
i. Five Attacks / Focus on fluidity of motion and fluid /
Limang Sugod controlled strikes (90 Degree principle with
grip of baston)
1. Four (4) Diagonal Attacks and Centerline
Thrust Form.
• Solo drills with various footwork
patterns (i.e. Broken & Sidestep).
2. Basic Drills – Fluid Attacks (striking drill)
• Two man fluid mirror drill.
ii. Break-In, Break- Horizontal Attacks - Quartering using the
Out / Pasok Loob- weapon hand and the punyo/slash
Labas 1. The Fencing Line:
• Regular footwork
• Ducking footwork
• Crossing footwork
