1.1. FOUNDATION FOOTWORK & BODY ANGLING
1.1.1. Footwork Positions
I. Sidestep ▪ 45 degree Sidestep (on Reverse Triangle),
▪ 90 degree Turns (Clockwise &
Counterclockwise)
▪ 180 degrees (Lateral & Linear)
II. Take-off On Reverse Triangle & With 3 Steps.
III. Forward Triangle (Closed Top), Fluid, Broken
IV. Reverse Triangle (Open Top), Fluid, Broken
V. Wave-in / Wave- (Short, Medium, Long) Circle in, then range out

VI. Ducking (Short, Medium, Long)
VII. Ranging (Short, Medium, Long)

1.2. SOLO BASTON


1.2.1. Chamber Positions
i. High Load Stick Overhead.
ii. Shoulder Load Stick over weapon shoulder (#1 Chamber)
iii. Medium / Side Stick is placed along the left side of your body
Load either on top or under your support arm.
iv. Low Load Stick placed tip down along the right side of
your body.
v. Cross Load Stick over support side shoulder (#2 Chamber).

2.1. ADVANCED TRI-V FOOTWORK & BODY ANGLING
I. Wave-In / Wave-Out ▪ Four Corners of X with body angling
Body Angling & shoulder roll
▪ Same movement on Hour Glass
pattern
II. Hour Glass Combined Fluid (ranging footwork)
• Utilize Close/Open shuffle to move
through the middle of the Hour Glass
on a straight line.
• Move on outside perimeter of Hour
Glass
• Do Takeoff footwork on outside
perimeter line.
III. Diamond • Free flow, moving around perimeter,
Footwork cutting through the middle, and
isolating each triangle.
• Takeoff footwork, using Quick
Directional Change.

IV. Diamond / Sawtooth • Moving around perimeter (double


Footwork movement on each line), and
isolation of each triangle.
• Saw Tooth movement.
• Isolation of 'M' with Hirada and other
footwork.

2.2. QOL DE MAMA PLATFORM


2.2.1. Tapping and Punyo – Practical In-fighting with Single Beat Counter
(Sabayan).
Application of Three Thrusting Attacks and Contrada motions.
i. Basic form and drill - Six (6) Offense/Counter-Offense Movements
ii. Application of double tap attacks
iii. Application of Broken Slash instead of Thrust.
iv. Advanced drill - Application of 2 and 3 Thrusts (Horizontal line 8 & 9).

2.3. MANO Y DAGA


2.3.1. Knife Tapping (Symmetric And Asymmetric)
i. Principle of the Hand Blade, Primary and Secondary Hacking Motions.
ii. Application of Trapping.
iii. Application of Counter Trapping.

3.1. SOLO BASTON
3.1.1. Tirsia Corto - Close Range Quartering / Bridging the Gap
i. Five Attacks / Focus on fluidity of motion and fluid /
Limang Sugod controlled strikes (90 Degree principle with
grip of baston)
1. Four (4) Diagonal Attacks and Centerline
Thrust Form.
• Solo drills with various footwork
patterns (i.e. Broken & Sidestep).
2. Basic Drills – Fluid Attacks (striking drill)
• Two man fluid mirror drill.
ii. Break-In, Break- Horizontal Attacks - Quartering using the
Out / Pasok Loob- weapon hand and the punyo/slash
Labas 1. The Fencing Line:
• Regular footwork
• Ducking footwork
• Crossing footwork
2. Direct Break-In/ Break-Out Drill

3.2. TIRSIA LARGO - Long Range Quartering


3.2.1. Contradas
i. Fencing Line Platform
ii. Pasugat / Pasunod
3.2.2. Payong
Umbrella: Basic Counter-Offense Attacks against horizontal, diagonal, and
vertical attacks.
i. Three Counter- ▪ Three Count solo form(footwork 45/45/90)
Offense Attacks ▪ Drill with partner vs. Angles 1/2/5, then
immediately return the same strikes to
partner.
ii. Long Range High Box ▪ Inside Payong/ Outside Payong / Four Wall
Pattern Drill ▪ Focus on Long Range. Variation using 3rd
Hand done at Medium Range.

3.3. PANGAMUT
3.3.1. Hand Blade Strikes: Pangamut & Pekiti-Boxing Fundamentals

i. Saksak ▪ Jab, Cross, Hook, Uppercut, Overhand


ii. Pakal ▪ Slap, Hack, Jab
iii. Elbow ▪ Application of pakal slashing & thrusting
motions
▪ Drill left and right side of triangle, hitting palm
and continue to two elbows
