Plans for Differentiated Instruction/Accommodations

Students with special needs will have additional time if necessary. I will make
Special Education sure to repeat instructions to make sure everyone understand the expectation
Students and instructions. Students who have multiplication chart as accommodation will
receive one.
English language learned will work with their peers that can clarify vocabulary
and instructions. I will emphasize vocabulary terms by repeating them and

pointing them out when working out examples. Students will have their

vocabulary terms in their composition notebook so that they can reference their
notes at any point during the lesson.
Gifted and talented students will have the opportunity to solve a mystery picture
Gifted and Talented if they are done early with their scavenger hunt and exit ticket. The exit ticket will
also have a challenging question that will require some critical thinking.

Potential Challenges/Plan B
If the promethean board does not work, I will use the whiteboard to write down notes. Since I will be unable to play the
video, I will go ahead and explain the video. I could also use the active view to display the notes.
If students are confused, I will use more time to discuss real-life examples and have students work on some examples. I
will also reduce the number of scenarios for the scavenger hunt.
If the pace is to quick, then I will slow down by giving students more time to work on the guided problems and scavenger
hunt. If we run out of time, I will quickly go over the warm-up, so students have time to work on the exit ticket.

Assessment
Classroom discussion (closure) and exit ticket will be used to determine what students have learned.
