Estimated Time Needed 60 minutes
Lesson Description Students will solve for percent given part and whole.
6.5(B)The student applies mathematical process standards to solve
problems involving proportional relationships. The student is expected to:

Potential Challenges/Plan B
If the promethean board does not work, I will use the whiteboard to write down notes. Since I will be unable to play the
video, I will go ahead and explain the video. I could also use the active view to display the notes.
If students are confused, I will use more time to discuss real-life examples and have students work on some examples. I
will also reduce the number of scenarios for the scavenger hunt.
If the pace is to quick, then I will slow down by giving students more time to work on the guided problems and scavenger
hunt. If we run out of time, I will quickly go over the warm-up, so students have time to work on the exit ticket.
Assessment
Classroom discussion (closure) and exit ticket will be used to determine what students have learned.
