UN SCRIPT 2018

Kris: Please settle down and take your seats because in a few minutes, we will commence our
program.
Julie: United Nation’s Day is celebrated worldwide every October 24 in honor of the
intergovernmental organization promoting human rights, social progress, and world peace.
Kris: In many Philippine schools, United Nation’s Day is celebrated by having students dress up
in the national costume or traditional clothing of different nations.
Julie: Due to the overlapping school activities for the month of October, Malilipot National High
School extended the celebration and have chosen this date, November 16, 2018 to hold the
culminating activity highlighting the Parade of Costume and Showdown of National Dances.
Kris: To start with, please all stand for the singing of the Philippine National Anthem to be
conducted by Ms. Beverly Higuit, MAPEH teacher, to be followed by a Doxology from selected
senior high school students.
Julie and Kris: GOOD AFTERNOON MALILIPOT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL! WELCOME TO THE
CULMINATING PROGRAMME OF THE SOCIAL STUDIES DEPARTMENT FOR THE UNITED NATION’S
DAY CELEBRATION!
Kris: Are you ready?... You better be!
Julie: This is truly an exciting day for us as we witness the product of the combined efforts of our
dear AP teachers and students. (…)
Kris: Without further ado, may we call in Ma’am Lira S. Herbacio, Master Teacher II, for the
Opening Remarks. Let’s give her a big round of applause. *instigate the clap
Julie: Thank you, Ma’am Lira... A contest will not be a contest without an esteemed panel of
judges, right Partner? With this, may we request Ms. Gretchen B. Millena to introduce the board
of judges for the Parade of Costumes. (…) Thank you, Ma’am Gretch.
Kris: Likewise, may we call in Ms. Rachel B. Bataller to introduce the board of judges for the
Showdown of National Dances. (…) Thank you, Ma’am Rach.
Julie: At this juncture, may we request Mr. Leo B. Buela, Principal I, for a message. A round of
applause, please. (…) Thank you for that insightful message, Sir.
Kris: Now let’s listen to a song number to be given to us by selected Grade 7-Green students.
Julie: Are you ready?... I know you are all excited for the highlights of this afternoon’s activity so
let’s cut to the chase! Let’s welcome the candidates in their Production Number!
Kris: I know you are all eager to witness the performances of the different year levels in their
national dances. Let’s welcome the first group, the Grade 8 students! *instigate the clap
Julie: At this point, we have another intermission number, from MDC. (…) A round of applause,
please.
Kris: In a few minutes, we’ll be seeing our lovely and handsome contestants dance the Waltz in
their formal wear.
Julie and Kris: *take turns in introducing candidates and their parent/guardian
Julie: Are you ready for another dance performance? Let’s all welcome the representative of the
senior high school department!
Kris: Thank you for that performance, senior high… Partner, this is it!
Julie: Yes, Partner! I am actually very excited for this part. Can anyone guess what the next part
is?... Yes, the Parade of National Costume.
Kris: From what I heard, the contestants also prepared an introduction using the national
language of the country assigned to them.
Julie: Well, that just adds more excitement! LET’S ALL WITNESS THE PARADE OF NATIONAL
COSTUME!
Kris: Buckle up because we still have two more performances…. Clap your hands for the energetic
Grade 7 students!
Julie: The last but definitely not the least in the dance showdown category, the Juniors! Let’s give
them a big round of applause. (…) Thank you for that performance, Grade 9 students.
Kris: In every contest, there is a winner... May we call in Ms. Gretchen B. Millena, Ms. Genie
Bolima and Mr. Antonio Biron to award the winners. *edit depending on the winner/s as per
computation of judges’ scores and special award/s, if any
Julie: Did everyone enjoy the culminating activity? This won’t be possible without the combined
efforts of the teachers in the Social Studies Department… To give us the Closing Remarks, we
have Ms. Genie Bolima. *instigate the clap
