Installation Instructions

We at Notation Software would like to thank you for selecting one of our products. The trial version allows you to
test and compare our products with others. When you have purchased a Notation Software product, you have
selected the best product on the market at an affordable price for everyday musicians.

In this section we would like to give you a very brief overview of the installation. We have tried to keep the
installation simple, quick, and straight forward. We will save all installation information for you so that you can
immediately use the software. Special attention to the steps listed below will help you install the software without
any issues, and will give you the benefit of the license with regards to service and future support.

Please make sure you are running a Windows operating system (Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista,
Windows 7 or Windows 8 operating system). This software does not run natively on other operating systems.

Information you will need

For the trial version no special information is needed.

If you have purchased the software, the required information will be listed in your confirmation email. Simply have
that email handy, and you can copy and paste the information exactly as it should appear for Steps 2 and 3 below.

• Your name and complete address. It should be the exact address you used when the product was
purchased.
• Your License Number. This is the number from the confirmation email from Notation Software.

Installing the Software

Step 1: License Agreement

You may think this is boring, but please take your time to carefully read the agreement. The agreement is as short
as possible, but please understand that for us as a company this agreement is mandatory in order to provide the
highest level of long-term service to you.

Step 2: Customer Information (not required for a trial version)

Please enter your name and address exactly as recorded when purchasing the product (this is in your confirmation
email from us).

Step 3: Registration Information (not required for a trial version)

This step records the

VERY IMPORTANT License Number

which you received in your confirmation email.

Please make sure that all your data are correct before proceeding any further. No changes to the customer and
registration information can be made after this step.

Step 4: Select Installation Folder

For Notation Musician 2.6.3 and Notation Composer 2.6.3 we recommend using the default installation folder
4\Notation. For those whom have purchased a previous version of a Notation Software product, both versions can
be used in parallel.

Step 5: Confirm the Installation

When you are all set, just click the “Next” button. Depending on your Windows version, the installation program may
ask you to switch to installation mode. A DOS-type window will pop up for some seconds and perform the
installation.

Step 6: Installation Complete

Congratulations! Now just click Close to exit the setup program, double-click on the newly installed icon for Notation
Musician 2.6.3 or Notation Composer 2.6.3 displayed on your desktop, and start with the fun part.

All information (this file, License Agreement, installation files) is saved on your PC.
