I. POLICY
This Employee Code of Conduct outlines the policy of _______________ (Employer) with respect to an
Employee’s (Employee) conduct and behavior towards his/her colleagues, supervisors, and Employer
inside the work premises. This Code of Conduct is for the paramount interest of both the Employer and
the Employee.
While the Employer promotes freedom of expression and freedom of movement inside the work
premises, the Employee is also expected to conduct himself/herself properly in projecting a positive
image of the Employer and to have an amiable rapport with everyone he/she works with.
By the assignment and designation of certain responsibilities, the Employer reposes trust and
confidence in an Employee. On the other hand, the Employee has the responsibility to maintain the
trust and confidence reposed on him. The following acts or omissions are considered breach of the trust
and confidence:
An Employee is expected to avoid deviations from the norms of conduct in a workplace. The following
are acts considered to be deviations from the norms of conduct within the Employer’s workplace, hence
subject to a disciplinary action:
V. WORK PERFORMANCE
An Employee is expected to work with due diligence at all times. The Employer, therefore, is expected
to impose appropriate administrative actions whenever any of the following acts or omissions is
committed:
The actions or penalties that the Employer may impose for the commission of any of the offenses are:
1. For those falling under Item II (Trust and Confidence), the penalty of dismissal unless the
Employer should decide on a lower penalty.
2. For those falling under Item III (Conduct and Behavior), the penalty of dismissal for the following
offenses:
a. Causing the distribution of contraband, prohibited drugs or explosives in the Employer’s
premises.
b. Entering the work place or working while under the influence of prohibited drugs.
c. Breaking the property owned, held or in the custody of the Employer.
d. Causing loss, damage or injury to another person.
4. Those falling under Item IV (OFFICE RULES), except for Claiming overtime pay using falsified
records wherein the penalty of suspension is imposed, the penalty are:
5. Those falling under Item V (WORK PERFORMANCE), the penalty of dismissal shall be imposed
unless the Employer decides on a lesser penalty.
7. The imposition of penalties shall be without prejudice to the filing of civil or criminal actions as
may be warranted.
8. “Work premises” shall all buildings, office, work and service areas, warehouses, vehicles and all
other properties owned, rented or used by the Employer.
