Note:
The special screws (28/45), can only be removed with a screwdriver furnished with a special blade
insert. These special blade inserts for screwdriver can be ordered from the parts department.
Because of approval-board requirements and reasons of safety, only the special screws (45) into
the base plate must be used to avoid tampering by un-authorized persons.

Dismantling
Prior to repairing the device, a soft pad should be placed on the working surface to prevent the
device from being scratched.
The connecting leads are slipped onto the P.C.B. Remove the regulating knob (59) from the LED-
PCB in frontward direction. The mains lead (40) and the connections of the boiler are provided
with self-protecting plugs; the protection pins of their plugs must be pushed somewhat outwards
when dismantling. The transformer, switch and LED-P.C.B. are merely placed in their appropriate
mounting positions. After removing the control-P.C.B., the potentiometer used for the motor
control must be readjusted.
The switch-P.C.B. is fixed on the backside of the valve by four notches. Remove the connection
plug, carefully press sidewards the both notches next to the plug connection, and take off the
P.C.B.
The pump is hanged into the chassis (27) with two dampers (26). Release the pump and detach it
from the sealing (6).
The motor can be released from the pump after removing the connecting leads and unfastening the
both screws (25). For exchanging the toothed belt (23), carefully press apart the pump cradle.
Upper housing cpl. (2)/Shower head support (17)/Chassis (27)/Steam pipe (21):
Take off the chassis and remove the tube connection from the steam pipe. Slightly press apart one
of the guide notches for the steam pipe and take off the steam pipe.
Remove the lever (12) towards the front and pull the shower head support out of the upper housing
cpl. (2).
By taking the coulisse (15) off the shower head support, the interlock-switch (16) can be removed
from its holder.
Upper housing cpl. (2): Is one group including the boiler, frame and housing upper part. For safety
reasons it is not possible to disassemble.

The hose clip (spring) (58) is to be pressed together on its ends by means of a suitable flat-nose
pliers and pulled off.
On the hose clip (pinch) (57) connection the tube is powerfully removed together with the hose
clip (pinch). Generally, after this proceeding, a new hose clip (pinch) is to be used (see "Securing
the tube connections" in the reassembling instructions).
Reassembly
Slip on the leads connecting to the boiler and install the sensor and the earth connection. Insert the
insulating plate (10).
Snap the angle elbow (3) into the upper housing and slip the tube (52) onto the connection stub in
the upper housing.
Insert the interlock and coffee switch with plug (16) into the holders, taking care not to break the
connecting leads. Insert the connecting leads into the small cable lead on the backside of the
shower head support. The coffee switch is to be fixed with the flat spring (19).
Place the coulisse (15) onto the shower head support, the rectangular opening pointing to the front.
The coulisse is to be turned in a left/right movement during which the piston is expected to move
up and down. The sealing ring (18), if not provided, must absolutely be attached to the piston.
Insert the pre-assembled shower head support into the upper housing, snapping the both square
bars placed on the front into the regulating slot of the upper housing. Push in the lever (12) from
the front side. Attention is to be paid to the fact that the pressure tube of the shower head support
is not to be squeezed.
Insert the steam pipe (21) into the chassis from the bottom, slightly turn and push until a snap is
audible.
Attach the pressure tube to the steam pipe and secure with the hose clip (pinch).
The chassis (27) is to be hanged into the rectangular indentations of the shower head support.
Now, push downwards and press until the chassis snaps in.
Mount the motor (22) to the pump (24), apply the toothed belt (23) and slip on the connecting
leads to the motor. Reconnect the tubes. Slip the sealing (6) onto the pump inlet stub, and hang the
pump cpl. with the both dampers (26) into the chassis holders.
Insert the sealing (6) into the boiler opening and press in the boiler filter (5) from above.
Reconnect the tubes of the valve (33) as described above. Insert the switch-P.C.B. (34) into the
valve and connect the 3 piece connector with the leads.
The protective conductor of the mains lead is now to be slipped onto the earth connection of the
boiler.

Place the lower housing (29) onto the upper part, leading all connecting leads and the mounted
valve with the tube connections through the lower housing. Attention is to be paid to the fact that
the leads or tubes are not to be squeezed.
Fix the lower housing to the upper part by means of the four screws (28). Position the valve,
displaced 45 degrees on the bayonet guidance in the lower housing, and turn it back 45 degrees
until the valve snaps in. Attach the switch knob (30).
Slip the 10-piece connector with leads onto the LED-P.C.B., and insert the P.C.B., in the lower
housing. Insert the regulating knob (59) into the LED-P.C.B. in front of the housing lower part.
Insert the cover-box (39) in the lower housing, leading all connecting leads past the side of the
cover-box.
Insert the control-P.C.B. (41) and the transformer (42) into the box. Slip the plug-in connections
onto the P.C.B.
The density is to be tested (see separate description), and the function to be checked.
Securing the tube connections: When fixed with a hose clip (spring) (58), the latter is to be
pushed over the tube. Slip the tube onto the corresponding connection stub and bend off the hose
clip (spring) on the hose ends by means of flat nose pliers. Then, the hose clip (spring) is to be
positioned at the height of the connection stub, and the hose ends are to be released.
When fixed with a hose clip (pinch) (57), the latter is to be pushed over the tube. Slip the tube over
the corresponding connection stub. Then the hose clip (pinch) is to be positioned at the height of
the connection stub, the hose eyelet is to be pressed together by means of pinch tongs.

Density Test
Insert the test filter, lock and place the carafe. The switch-off tab of the test filter remains open.
Fill the boiler with water until the "min" mark is reached. Connect the device to the power mains
and switch it on. Wait until the green control lamp lights up. Turn the switch knob to the "Cup"
position. At first, let some water run through the test filter.
Attention: The appliance is under pressure (>15 bar), be very careful with the next steps and
keep some distance if necessary.
Shortly afterwards (approx. 15 seconds), the pump motor is to run more and more slowly, and
even to stand still. Now, the pump motor is switched off through the electronics.
Leave the pump motor standing for about 15 seconds. No water is expected to be pouring out
during this time.
Note: If the pump motor continues to run slowly, this means more then 15 seconds, the system
has a leak or the pump is defective.
After a check, the switch-off tab is to be reopened, in order to decrease the pressure. Switch off the
device and unplug it from the power mains. The water is to be emptied and the device to be
recompleted.
