"Moral turpitude, on the other hand, is defined as an act of baseness, vileness, or depravity in

the private and social duties which a man owes his fellow men, or to society in general,
contrary to the accepted and customary rule of right and duty between man and man or
conduct contrary to justice, modesty, or good morals (Tak Ng vs. Republic, 106 Phil. 727).
Necessarily the crime of Concubinage is a crime involving moral turpitude. The cohabitation and
illicit relation of Dilan with his paramour is definitely contrary to good morals.
