Lahore vide letter No.1964-70 dated 29-04-2010 with the
remarks that “Existing Bus Bar protection will have to be

Tertiary Bus Bar of 3x200 MVA Auto Transformer T-2 at
Tertiary Bus Bar of 3x200 MVA Auto 500KV grid station Muzaffargarh was repaired which was a

TR-2 are installed in TPS Muzaffargarh switch yard. These
are under the control of TPS. These circuit breakers create
problem in opening & closing during shutdown on TR-1 and

Khan, 500KV T/Line Multan-Guddu circuit split into two
sections i.e. Multan- DG Khan and DG Khan -Guddu T/L
1 Shunt Reactor at DG Khan having shunt reactors at Multan and Guddu ends. DG Khan-
Guddu line needs a shunt reactor at 500KV G/S DG Khan
end, its length being 226.9km, in order to avoid trippings due
to over voltage.

1- There are 03 Nos. transformers at Bahwalpur grid

station. 02 No. transformers have already been augmented
from 160MVA to 250MVA each. Whereas 160MVA T-1 can

foundations have been constructed. This way the load will
be reduced at the grid station.
220KV grid station Lal Sohanra is ready to be

commissioned. It will share the load of 220KV grid station
2 220KV GS Lal Sohanra Bahwalpur. It will be another power source in addition to
TPS Muzaffargarh.
Manufacturiing fault of 220KV and 132KV CB make GEC

Alstom. Crown of sliding contact slips down in few
operations that cause improper connection of contacts and
3 220KV & 132KV Circuit Breakers results in damage of circuit breaker. 13 No. circuit
breakers of this make and type are installed at this grid
stationn. Despite overhauling and modification in crown, 5
circuit breakers got damaged in past few years.

grid station end. Few more grid stations are also fed from this
line by MEPCO every now and then. It has been observed that
