I. Objectives
At the end of the 60-minute period, the students will be able to:
1. identify the rules in performing fundamental operations involving
integers,
2. display accuracy in performing fundamental operations on integers,
and
3. perform fundamental operations on integers.

B. Motivation
Ahead of time, divide the class into four. Each member of the group will be
asked to answer a flash card to be presented by the teacher. The group
who will get the highest points after 5 minutes will receive a prize.

D. Lesson Proper
1. Presentation
Addition rules and examples will be presented
a. Like signs, directly add
3+3= 6
-3 +(-3)= -6
b. Unlike Signs, subtract and then carry the sign of the larger
number
-4 + 3 = - 1
-3+4=1
Rule of Subtraction will be enumerated and examples will be
provided
a. Change the sign of the subtrahend then proceed to addition
-4 –(+3 ) = -4+(-3 )= -7
Multiplication and Division rules will be discussed
a. Like signs, positive; unlike signs, negative
