ABSTRACT

To improve the quality of organizing the learning process and the success of
students in learning, teachers need to understand things that affect the learning
process of students, both mengahambat and support. One important factor that can
affect the success of students is the factor of students' understanding of the material
presented by the teacher. Understanding in this context refers to the basic
programming subjects of understanding logic.
This study was conducted to find out how students understand the basic
programming subjects in SMK Negeri 7 Malang. The purpose of this research is to
know the difference in learning outcomes of ability logic because of the influence of
Mind Maping learning model compared to Deep Dialogue / Critical Thinking (DD /
CT) learning model on Basic Programming subjects. The samples used in this study
are students of class X TKJ 1 consisting of 36 people. The instrument used is a test
instrument in the form of questions used for prestest and posttest and non-test
instrument in the form of questionnaire. The data analysis used to test the hypothesis
is the t-test and the two-track anova test.
From the result of the research, it is known that there is a difference of logic
understanding of students of cognitive domain (sig.0,000 <0,05) and anova test shows
there is no difference of logic understanding of cognitive domain, students who have
high logic understanding and low logic understanding taught using mind mapping
learning model and deep dialogue / critical thinking (DD / CT).
The conclusion of the research is that there is a significant difference in
understanding the logic of the cognitive domain between the students who are
learning with the mind mapping learning model and the learning with deep dialogue /
critical thinking (DD / CT) model.
