Through the infographic, I will show my progress

over the past year through Engl 110 and Engl 111

Purpose class. Through these learning experiences, I was be

able to deepen the understanding of my personal
and sociocultural and academic communities.

Video blog (Engl 110) 

Through the video blog, I was able to
be familiar with new country, friends,
language, and environment. If we leave
my home country, we need somewhere
to depend on. As Wade made his best
friend whose name is Aech in OASIS, he
needed a friend who he could depend
on and work on together even though

Group presentation (Engl 111)

and we turned our keys in unison.

during which all of our keys and
the crystal door itself vanished.

doorway leading into a spinning

Through the group presentation, I was
able to understand the importance of
cooperation, communication and
harmony when we work on the team
project. As the Third Gate requires all
three people to be present in front of
the gate at the same time, Halliday
thought cooperation and
understanding each other, which
means friendship, would be
emphasized to open the Third Gate.
Through the group presentation, I
could communicate with my
teammates, adjust our opinions and
find the point of compromise. Also, we
could give the feedback to each other's
opinions. We all three could come up
with a lot of ideas than working alone.
Also, I was able to know how to
prepare the presentation and improve
the presentation skill in front of the
audiences better than before in aspect
of academic community.

150 Years of Giant Leaps (Engl 111) 

" I created the OASIS because I
never felt at home in the real world.
I didn't know how to connect with
the people there. I was afraid, for
all of my life. Right up until I knew
it was ending. That was when I
realized, as terrifying and painful as
reality can be, it's also the only
place where you can find true
happiness. Because reality is real."
Through the attending at the event,
which was Captain Sully Sullenberger:
208 Seconds: A Lifetime of Lessons, I
was able to think about my career, life
goal, or what I want to do in future. The
quote that I wrote on the left-hand side
was one of the best quotes that I have
ever read. Also, It was the best quote
for the book, RPO. Halliday made
OASIS and people played OASIS to
escape from the reality, but Halliday
wanted the players to realize that
reality was the only place where we
can find true happiness. Through the
event that I attended, I could
differentiate my way of life. I could set
my own life goal by observing the
world through my own perspectives.
So, I could deepen the understanding
of my personal community. Also, it was
really helpful to determine my major
through CODO program at Purdue in
aspect of academic community.

Through these assignments, video blog, group presentation,

Conclusion
150 Years of Giant Leaps, I was able be familiar with the
language of English, country of United States, the environment
of college. So, I could deepen the understanding of my
personal, sociocultural, and academic communities.
