SMART CAR
PARKING SYSTEM
ABSTRACT

 Locating a parking spot during peak hours in most populated areas like
shopping malls, universities, exhibitions or convention centres is difficult for
the drivers. The difficulty rises from not knowing where the available spots
may be at that required time. Smart parking is a solution to metropolitan
cities to reduce congestion, cut vehicle emission totals and save persons’
time by helping them in finding a spot to park. Smart Parking is a parking
system, usually a new one that is equipped with special structured devices
(things) to detect the available parking slots at any parking area. Real-
Time environment has sensors and devices embedded into parking
spaces, transmitting data on the occupancy status; and making the driver
know the status of available space.
OBJECTIVE

 This current venture's principle reason for existing is to deliver a genuine

answer for the vehicle leaving issue which the entire world is confronting
every now and then. Individuals ordinarily wander around in the parking
garages endeavoring to locate a reasonable spot to stop in. To solve that
problem we have created the automatic car parking system, using an
open source hardware, programmable sensors and the use of computers
to provide an interface to understand the digital output produced.
METHODOLOGY

 Utilizing the Ultrasonic sensors in each stopping space, it identifies the

nearness or nonattendance of a vehicle. At the entrance a LCD display
and a servo motor has been placed. While inside, there are four parking
spots each monitored by three different sensors. As soon as all the parking
spots are filled, the LCD outside, will display “no parking space available”
and the servo motor won’t operate because the coding has been done
as such, while if any parking space is empty the servo motor will operate
and the LCD will display “Parking spot Available”.
