Slide 1: Good morning, everyone. My name is Quynh. Today, I would like to tell
you about an interesting topic about current trend. That is Challenge for change
or Trashtag. That is a new trend and very common on social network.
Slide 2: My presentation consists of 2 main points. That is:
 Definition and Orginate
 Benefits of this trend
Slide 3: Before introducing this trend, I want to show you some photos. You can
see in these picture. There is a lot of garbage is thrown around on the road, in the
sewers and under the trees. I have read on the Internet, there are more than 12
million garbage emitted in a day around the world. This is a number alarming and
very dangerous.
Slide 4: Seeing an increasing amount of waste leading to environmental pollution.
So Bryon Roman whom the man gets an attention when posting images before
and after cleaning up the pile of garbage on a land. So this is a status that he
posted on Facebook. “ Here is a new challenge for all you bored teens. Take photo
after you have done something about it, and post it.” The post received a great
response on social network. And now, the object doesn’t stop at “ bored
teenagers”, but everyone. Hashtag and trend “ Challenge for change” was born
and quickly appeared everywhere.
Slide 5: So what is the hashtag “ Challenge for change”? Before telling you about
the definition of this trend. I will show you some photos and I think you can guess
what it means. You can see the common point between two photos is, the before
photo is full of garbage and after images has been clean up.
Slide 6: So the trend “ Challenge for change” means you go to locations which
covered in garbage and pick up trash. Then post “ before” and “after” pictures.
Slide 7: Although it is only a trend on the Internet, this is a meaningful work and
brings many benefits in life. For me, the greatest benefit of this trend is:
 Change people’s awareness
 Change environment

After a week since the game called "Trash Challenge" was launched, millions of
young people around the world responded. Thousands of tons of garbage
polluting the environment were cleanly "handled" by young people and then the
person who uploaded Facebook social network, zalo, instargram ... at the same
location before and after clearing the garbage has attracted thousands of shares
that have made a positive effect.
This trend has spread the love of preserving and protecting the living environment
of the online community and has attracted more and more participants. Many
examples of young people collecting rubbish along the beaches from the North to
the South are continuously posted as Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hanoi capital, ...
Although it is a small act of each individual, there are great meaning, strong
impact from awareness to action of people, especially young people.
Slide 9:
The changing consciousness of people leads to change in the environment. If you
change your mindset, the current pollution will be saved. Thanks to this trend,
landfills have gradually disappeared instead of cleaner images. Just a small action
we can live in a green, clean, beautiful environment. So, why not?
