Low birth weight (LBW) is a health problem that in perinatal and neonatal,
with birth weight less than 2,500 grams where babies with low birth weight are
more prone to the disease compared with infants who have a normal birth weight
so that the necessary supervision and intensive care. low birth weight is the basic
cause of the death of two-thirds of neonatal death. The purpose of this research is
to provide obstetric care on newborn babies with low birth weight.
Design research with the use of management's approach to midwifery
Helen Varney. The first step that is carried out for the study to get the subjective
and objective data, determine the data, determine the basic interpretation of
anticipation of the problems that can arise in infants with low birth weight,
determine the identification needs immediately, devise interventions,
implementation and evaluation of the care that has been given to a baby with low
birth weight.

Expected a baby with low birth weight are given intensive care so there
happen complications and was able to lower the mortality rate caused by low birth
weight neonates.
