8. Brief note on Topic:

Training and development emphasize on improvement of the


performance of individuals and groups. It is a process which involves the sharpening of
skills, concepts, changing of attitude and gaining more knowledge to enhance the
performance of the employees. Training is about knowing where a person is present and
after sometime where will he reach after training. All training and development is targeted
towards continual improvement of the individual, team and company as a whole. Sparsh
hospital conducts training program on NABH topics, soft skills and departmental training.
The training in an organization is necessary since there are advancement in technology
demanding customers, boosting productivity, requirements for improving the motivational
levels, needs for improving quality of output and necessities for effectiveness in
management. Training program involves designing, developing, implementing training
model and evaluating. Getting feedback on training from the trainees helps in improving
the training program.

Skills acquired by the employees through training are assets for the
organization. The enhancement of the skills also provides the employees job security as well as
opportunities for career advancement. Hence for achieving a level of excellence, organizations are
to invest in updating the skills of its employees. This is done through training and development
process.

SYNOPSIS

I. TITLE OF THE PROJECT:


“ A study on cost elements and its effects on cost of production” at Marvin foods.

II. NEED FOR THE STUDY :


Organise and facilitate learning and development. Expedite acquisition of knowledge,
skills and abilities required for effective job performance. Most employees have some
weaknesses in their workplace skills. A program identifies and strengthen those skills that
each employee needs to improve.

III. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM :


IV. The change is the order of the day. If there is no thought fore the industries might not face
the changes of environment, which will affect the performance, therefore to visualize and
to have forethought effective guidelines on the basis of control technique are very much
essential. On this line the standard or budgetary control technique is one of the effective
tools for strategic planning cost control. It is possible to translate the plan into reality by
simple preparing budget. The objective of executive is to prepare analytical, functional
budget at different levels as a basis for planning, control and decision making, to save
costs and to assess the performance of the company.

V. OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY :


 To know the cost control systems adopted in S.C.FAB ENGINEERING.
 To study the existing means of control of materials.
 To analyze the existing means of control of overheads.
 To ascertain the actual cost per component of Fabrications and Engineering
products manufactured by the concern.
 To suggest a suitable and desirable system of better control of direct and
indirect cost.
VI. SAMPLING :

Using Survey method to collect information from the employees of Sparsh Hospital
The Sample Size is 100 employees

It is a Descriptive Research Design. Data are collected through:

IX. PLAN OF ANALYSIS :


Training and development is targeted towards continual
improvement by the individual, team and company as a whole. Sparsh hospital conducts
training program on NABH topics, soft skills and departmental training. Training
calendar for the year financial year is designed and monthly twice the training is given
to employees as per the requirements by designing, developing, implementing training
model and evaluating the training program through post-test and pre-test. The data
collected from the trainees will be analyzed with the help of statistical techniques to
interpret data and draw conclusion. The information will be visualized by using bar
charts and pie chart. The inferences will be drawn based on analysis.
