Reflection:
It was important to develop and distribute the needs/interest/ability assessments prior to the training. I
decided to start with OneDrive because I figured it would not be such a learning curve and would provide
teachers with tools they would be comfortable using straight out of their training. I also thought it would
be good to use tools that would create a space where they could be more productive. The workshop for
this training had a very good turnout. Teachers seem to really enjoy and approach using these tools with
ease. The development of the Teams to house the information took some time because it was a challenge
to structure it in a way that teachers would be able to navigate the platform if they had never done so. I
was provided really good feedback from staff afterwards. I analyzed data from the feedback that was
provided to prepare for the next workshop. I also used the data to guide the development and structure of
the next training.

September Developed a needs/interest/ability assessment 1.1, 2.7, 2.8, 5.1, 5.2,

Hour)
Developed a space using Microsoft Teams to
house all materials. (3 Hours)
Analyzed the data from the teacher’s
evaluation. Prepare for next workshop. (2
Hours)
Reflection:
It was important to follow the same format as before. According to the data received from the follow-up
assessment, teachers seemed to really appreciate the flow. With introducing MS Forms, it seemed to be
most beneficial to do it in such a way that captured a real experience for the teacher. I attended grade level
meetings prior to the scheduled workshops in order to see how teachers were creating assessments. Doing
so allowed me to be able to introduce MS Forms to the teachers as a tool they could implement
immediately. I found a way to show teachers how they could use the tools for formative and summative
assessments. I also showed how they could locate the Forms document in One Drive (one of the tools
introduced in the first training). Not only did teachers learn how to use the tool, but they learned how to
share and collaborate using the tool. Some of the sessions had to be rescheduled due to other obligations
that placed on teachers.

November- Developed a needs/interest/ability assessment 1.1, 2.1, 2.3, 3.1, 3.2,

December 2018 to gauge the staff’s use of OneNote and Class 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 6.1

(1Hour)
Developed a space using Microsoft Teams to
house all materials and create other tangible
and digital tools for review. (3 Hours)
Analyzed the data from the teacher’s
evaluation. Prepare for next workshop. (2
Hours)
Reflection:
The structure of implementation remained the same, however, the tool teachers would be presented to
teachers were different. During this time, the follow up material changed. I was creating a space in Teams
for teachers to go and review material, however, it was observed that the small learning curve of not really
knowing how to navigate the platform was playing a major part in that being successful. During this time,
I learned that as small as a piece may seem (placing items in the Teams platform), it still is important for
technology facilitators to keep in mind that doing too many small things at one time can cause
complications with executing certain pieces of your plan. I took this time to restructure and listen to the
needs of the teachers. My face to face time was cut short and screencast and webinar became more of the
preferred delivery methods due to testing, holidays, and end of the semester wrap-ups.

January- Developed a needs/interest/ability assessment 1.1, 2.1, 2.3, 3.1, 3.2,

February 2018 to gauge the staff’s use of Power Point and 3.3, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 6.1

Designed and delivered two

personalized/blended style workshops to
address the needs based on data received from
Forms document. (All support materials
included) (12 Hours)

Developed a survey to evaluate teacher’s

progress and comfort level using the tool. (1
Hour)
Created tangible material and other digital
tools/resources in place of the Teams space (3
Hours)
Analyzed the data from the teacher’s
evaluation. Prepare for next workshop. (2
Hours)
Reflection:
To start off the year, I embedded re-caps of previous workshops/trainings. It was important for me to
gauge where teachers were as far as their interest, ability, and implementation of the tools previously
mentioned. I also took the time to do some re-training and to develop more screencast of those materials
that I did cover that I may not have had step by step videos that covered what I’d previously went over.
Also, I took this time to also do more observation to see if any of the tools were being implemented and to
what extent.

March 2018 Developed a needs/interest/ability assessment 1.1, 2.1, 2.3, 3.2, 5.1,
to gauge the staff’s use of Sway using Office 5.2, 5.3, 6.1
Forms. (1Hour)

Analyzed data from Forms to determine the

technology tools and resources needed. (2
Hours)

Designed and deliver two

personalized/blended style workshops to
address the needs based on data received from
Forms document. Also, provided re-caps and
follow-up support of previous trainings (All
support materials included) (14 Hours)
Developed a survey to evaluate teacher’s
progress and comfort level using the tool. (1
Hour)
Created tangible material and other digital
tools/resources in place of the Teams space.
Provided follow up support. (4 Hours)
Analyze the data from the teacher’s evaluation.
Prepare for next workshop. (2 Hours)
Reflection:
During this time, I took the opportunity to introduce this tool and embed other tools used previously in the
trainings provided. I also made the decision that this would be the last month of introducing something
new because participation was low and the setting that I’d originally designed for the trainings to have had
changed so drastically. I also realized that I needed to do more supporting for what had already been
covered and that follow up support at this point would be more beneficial than introducing new tools when
the implementation of other tools was not at the desired level. I also found myself creating more tangible
resources than I originally wanted, however, it is what the teachers seem to want most. I learned about
how to be flexible and do what it is that you can. Many scheduled times were canceled or postponed due
to other understandable obligations. I also gained valuable information of what I would do differently
when implementing training such as these in the future.
