There is too much of an influence from drugs in the community of Tolleson. Part of the

reason is that drugs are too accessible. From personal observation some people can and do just

pick up a discarded cigarette bud off of the floor and smoke it. A way to fix this problem is to

throw them away correctly and speak up.

A possible solution is to put up billboards and clean up the community of cig buds. The

problem is getting permission to do this. It would take about “500$” to build a single billboard of

dimensions of 14’by48’, depending on location (fitsmallbusiness.com). Every person counts

because there was about “135 million pounds of discarded cig buds in 2007”. (Cigarette butt

litter).

It takes time and money so if we get help from the school and or government we could

advertise large scale. Once we get permission it won’t take long. After getting funds from

schools and charity large scale will be the object. The goal is to advertise why drugs are bad and

to help fund the process.

As performed by other schools the next part would be to form a volunteer group to clean

up cig butts. It could be included in the billboard and put up fliers in and around the school. The

fliers would include harmful side effects of each ingredients in cigarettes. To be safe any person

who signs up for volunteer will have a background check.

I believe we can change the way people view drugs, not as a joke or entertainment but as

an object to avoid. The impact would positively affect the grades and health. The city of Tolleson

isn’t exactly known for its drug free streets but it can be. With this plan we can help it Tolleson

get better.

Lastly my plan has the potential to succeed. With the help of my plan the number of

healthy children in Tolleson will increase. Furthermore this will give everyone the opportunity to

succeed. There is no easy way to prevent people to use drugs in a bad way, but we can lessen the

influence of drugs in our community. Help the cause and make Tolleson great again. Meet in the
